Congrats wolfelot! They grow up fast. Great looking kid

Edit: sound like decent enough conditions, I think next sat for the Jane meetup will be my only open day for all of April, sucks, love this time of year.

Beaver creek was a blast this morning for the first few runs in rose bowl.

Got heavy and grabby pretty quickly after that and was raining anywhere below spruce saddle. Is this what skiing in the PNW is like?

    Because fuck that

Montezuma is cream on crust and not worth it. Still have never had a good pow day back there. Starting to think it just doesn't happen.

Left at 11am as it was getting really warm and everything was turning to mank. The bottom half of Pali was getting ugly.

Edit to add- parking lot to my house in an hour. Wish it was like that all the time.

You went to the wrong places because it was fucking deep and entirely worth it.

The only problem with thigh to balls deep is that it can cover logs and sticks... nearly eviscerated my bladder... can barely walk.

Keystone was good and uncrowded. Inbounds was boot to knee, and deeper if you knew where. Heavy snow... rained in the village this afternoon.

20” new and you’re wondering why it was a clusterfuck?

Any reports from Loveland? Heading up tomorrow, may have folks to ditch. Early sounds like the call?

    46F @9300

Sustained moderate rain to at least 11200

I've never seen this much rain, nor rain so high early in 16 seasons

Was thinking the same. Can't believe this isn't more of a topic of conversation with local meteriorologists. Hopefully this isn't the new norm.

    Re: Wanker Park

Spring break. Seriously. It is East Grand break right now. Many of the supervisors and foreman with kids are out of town. Lifts is a trainwreck. Ask Underoos.

So lifts were understaffed. Half the mechanics are on vacation. Many of the detachables have problems in the wet snow because they are there are maintenance items that need to be addressed. Any the power was out on the park side.

That said, the skiing was very good in spots. The Pano and Bird Fart did spin. First tracks on the Eagle Wind were for real.

Snowing up high and raining at the Jane base when I left. 44 and steady rain at my house. We will see what tomorrow brings. Hopefully the pass will close.

Perfect ending weekend for the worst season I've had in 20+ years in Crested Butte. Less snow than 2012, and all late in the year. Raining all the way up, everything is closed. Giant dildo in the ass, with no lube, from Ullr this year. Pissing rain currently at 9500'

I'm calling bullshit. I've been working up there the last two days and haven't seen any liquid precip above 10500'. The drops started hitting the windshield this evening around Herman Gulch.

Stoked that the base building at 13k'+ is beginning early this year! Hoping the progressive zonal pattern keeps up.

Oh, I see. I thought the lane reduction at Floyd Hill did that these days.

True, the trees weren't holding much by the end of the day, but when you're stuck in a ski area shop on a powder day you tend to notice what's going on outside, and I definitely didn't notice any rain. I did notice slightly above-freezing temperatures, high humidity and an occasional blast of April sunshine. I can't speak for any other locations though as I wasn't there.

Shit, wish I'd known, would have picked you up, if I could see shit. I will say, Hakka r2's are amazing in deep water at speed. Just slice that shit, and grip hard even passing semi's throwing hundreds of gallons over the hood round corners.

Sorry for the spray. Was on a personal exhausted weird mission not to use windshield fluid for deeming it as good as a DMT 2 second high, at most.
