Yup - backup heat is golden. Had to pull out our Mr. Heater Portable one morning and screw on a 1 lb cylinder. Main furnace then decided to start running again...

I could not have afforded 5 weeks ski lodging so RV life is a huge savings overall, especially for 2. Allows us to extend our trips.
Chose the Chinook Concourse partly based on 6'-4" headroom!

Coming from Aus with an epic pass and want to do a road trip next seasons for about 4 weeks from colorado to california. Currently i have three options
1) Myself - Probably be a campervan.
2) 2-3 friends - Probably a little rv
3) 3-4 friends - hire a van an stay in hostels/motels.
I have a few questions relating to the above.
1- Any recommendations on campervan/rv rentals?
2- are there any hostels/motels that anyone could recommend for long term stays that aren't ridiculously expensive.
Renting a house for a month mid season would probably be too hard. Any other tips would be welcome.
Denver has large rv and campervan rentals. With more than one person, I find small motels are a better value than ski town hostels.

built-in ski storage locker is sick.
I can't imagine the number of hours that thing has idled.
I've been thinking of changing gears and getting a hard-side to replace the Alaskan since the space chocolate incident of 2017 and well, it finally happened. A fellow mag pointed me to this pristine Bigfoot 1500c8.0 in Canada that had everything we need and nothing we don't and we couldn't resist.

Putting the top down became an ordeal. The last several trips both the wife and I have grown weary of the set up and tear down of the pop up. Other than that inconvenience, the Alaskan is great and a very high quality product.
Unrelated, the rig drives so nice with the Bigfoot. It’s 1000 lbs lighter than the Alaskan. Despite the added height, it’s going to be much better for winter driving.
Mission is at it's best this time of year, love skiing up there when the entire mountain is smooth/fast/unsticky hero corn.
Let's hope it does.
He got blitzed on the invaders and wanted to take a nap. He then proceeded to take an hour plus to put the top down when it was time to leave. I thankfully was sober and drove us back to the cabin.
