Gotta pick my battles. Its either hang out with the backcountry bros or hang out with every Texan whose had too many Budweiser’s and feels fast in his new jeans. Least if I get out early enough I can avoid some of the bc crowds.

as far as back country goes, don't you people know that's the new colorado cred requirement that you are a back country bro and know how to get after it, the backcountry is gettting as bad as the resorts these days unless you know where to go

A little late, but we got out to Mayflower today, had a blast. Coverage was clean the whole way up, and even found some deep stuff hiding in the trees. Definitely shallow and a bit windblasted, but not too bad for how dry we've had it lately.

Headed to Leadville tomorrow to pick up a haul of xmas gifties from Melanzana. Anywhere up there where I may be able to skin uphill a bit? Don't care about skiing quality as much as exercise for the dog and I.

NWS reduced their numbers dramatically in the most recent forecast discussion. Now calling for 1-3 inches east of Gore Range, maybe a couple more for Gore Range and west. Enough to fuck up the roads, but not enough to ski. Sad.
