    Airlines at it again...

    http://www.thisisinsider.com/flying-...lergies-2017-9

Lady says she has a life threatening allergy to dogs. There are service dogs on her flight. They say she has to deboard. She refuses. They drag her off.

What was the airline suppose to do? Take off and let her die in the air?

I read somewhere she's facing a few charges. Did she think the service dog patron was getting off? Yeah sure lady we will inconvenience another passenger due to your claim with no paperwork. GTFO

Flying has become like riding the Greyhound with all the freak shows and trash.

Even if she did, the airline can't deny someone their service animal. I calm and respectful attitude would have likely found her on the next flight with a free voucher for later flights. Instead she got a disorderly.

Pretty sure her claim was false, then she acted up, so ya, punt that dumb biatch.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Yeah. The medical documents are not to have the airlines provide her with a dog free flight.

They are to say the life threatening allergy that she claimed while complaining about the service dog are controlled enough that she won't have a medical emergency while in the air.

Life threatening dog allergies are rare and dogs on the plane wouldn't be her only concern. It would be people that lived with dogs and places dogs have been... in other words, the whole world.

She's a whiny bitch that just doesn't like dogs.

"Airlines at it again"... except this was in no way the airline's fault.

I agree that deathly dog allergy sounds dubious, and the "service dogs" were probably dubious too, but the bottom line is that everyone is a fucking crybaby nowadays.

Like when these little designer doggies are in the supermarket sitting in the kiddy part of the cart and yapping at everyone that gets too close?

If she had just put a plastic bag over her head it would have protected her from the dogs during the flight.

True, but southwest apologized publicly do they are taking some responsibility.

I still don't understand refusing to get off a plane. They know they will be physically removed.

No...she thought she was entitled to throw at least 2 other passengers off so she could fly. #entitlement

I have another grand business idea...an airline for dogs, but they are allowed one service human, as well as the standard carry on and personal item.

Canine travellers must surely represent an untapped customer segment.

^^^They would certainly be a lot more agreeable. The dogs flying coach still couldn't use the first class fire hydrant, though.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

I saw this the other day and it grossed me out. I like dogs, and I’m a dog owner. But I don’t want my food where your dogs ass just was. It’s not like the grocery carts are ever washed besides maybe sitting out in the rain..

I think that's the problem here, or at least it seems to be.

But to offer a different perspective, a good friend of mine -- a mag who doesn't post these days -- has a severe dog allergy, he can't even really set foot in my house or car, and he described a bit of the desperate feelings it, and the allergic reaction, can cause in him (even though he loves dogs). IOW, this woman may be an entitled bitch or whatever, but she may also basically have been having a panic attack at the possibility of not being able to breathe, and not have had the capacity to be reasoned and rational.

Truthfully, without knowing a lot more details, I'm not going to pass judgment on anyone in this story. We don't know that she was asking to have the animals ejected, we don't know if she was offered to be reseated in a different part of the plane and rejected that, or what she claimed or asked. Maybe she just asked to be seated somewhere else on the plane and they said "ooh, life threatening dog allergy, GTFO".

We're the service dogs real? That shit is crazy now, I have friends who claim their dogs are service dogs for emotional reasons or something. Mostly it's out of convenience.

who knows? and IIRC, it was reported that one of the 2 dogs was not a service animal.
