My parents have three elderly cats. They are all from the same litter. Two are pretty chill and spend their evening watching TV on the couch with my parents. The third one is a little neurotic and sort of hovers near the couch without actually getting on the couch.

Recently, a younger cat reappeared in the household. A couple of years ago he turned up as a stray kitten, was fed by my parents and then left as a teenager, presumably to explore the neighbouring farmland. He has now decided to move back in after over a year of absence. My parents aren't thrilled because he bullies the older cats but he's cute so it's hard to just kick him out. They opted to have his balls cut off and hope for the best.

Tensions were pretty high in the household for a bit but things are relaxing slightly now. My parents draw the line at the TV couch, he is not allowed on so that the other two can chill there. The neurotic one now lives in the closet, or alternatively in the towel rack in the bathroom, depending on which is further away from the newcomer at any given time.

Fuck off, this is our couch.

Im very familiar with this from the late great Fat Face

He was an an unaltered rescue from abandoned house. A bully. The king of the street. He had a harem of women on the fence requesting services. He had a huge head!

When we altered him he did calm down his roaming but not his aggression toward territory. Don't expect that to change. What you will see is an unaltered tom's jowells and head will shrink. The testosterone causes Toms to create a leathery cheek to protect his face when he fights and makes him more desirable. It won't take long. Good looking cat. Maybe get some extra boxes.

Well, they are all "kittens" aren't they? Just like all dogs are "puppies", no?

There were six orange tabbies in a litter of seven! Seventh was a tortie like mom (you can see the tortie hiding in the back).
