Vermont knows beer, no state comes close.
Tiny little state of rednecks and hippies.
I love living in the valley, tax free NH, four miles from exit 5, 91.
World Cup ski race in Vermont, next week.

I enjoyed a highwater campfire stout on tap recently. It was a great part of my lunch.

I picked up a couple of cases for $16/ea.
It's a year old, but tastes good to me.

My awesome wife has to go to Bellingham today for work so she's going to pick me up a growler from Wander Brewing. She's getting their Correspondent Stout if it's available. I haven't had it before, but these guys do a good job and I expect it will be good. I'll post a TR later.

You like VT but won't pay taxes here to keep it nice? Sigh. Please do keep coming over to buy our beer here and not tax free in Nude Hamster.

NH has shit beer with few exceptions (stoneface) I'd like to keep some of the better smaller breweries from going across the river. Support local!

I have a Red Rock Drioma queued up for later this afternoon as the cold front rolls through the valley. Whipping up a batch of beef stew too.

Unfortunately no, too busy at work and mom is not doing well. Had a micro brew buddy went on a beercation up there last week. He always brings back a horde and looking forward the tasting.

Had quite a few different brews as of late but these two stood out:
Granville Island Mocha Porter, so so good hands down the best coffee/chocolate added I've ever had, perfect blend of flavours, I can't recommend it enough.

Howe Sound Pothole Filler Stout, definitely the darkest beer I have ever seen, even my LED flashlight can't penetrate this black brew. Really strong & thick, lives up to it's name for sure.

You got a nitro tap? Sounds like a good candidate.

Is nitro gas itself expensive? My FIL has a nitro tap but has it set so low the beer is flat.

If you ask a local gas company for "Guinness Gas" or just 25/75% co2/nitro (or close to that) they will usually carry it. Forget price but I don't think it is very expensive.

You still have to carb the beer to proper levels with CO2, nitro or beer gas is really only meant to serve.

Beer gas requires a special tank, regulator and tubing all being different than CO2.

You can carb with the blend, just leave it on high pressure for a day or two.
