So....the reason I ask is I helped a friend do a fruit compost similar to the papaya bud compost we used to put in the bottom of the hole when growing in hawaii. The flavor came through lightly on our recent composting but I bought some weed in Denver last year that tasted exactly like grapefruit that was potent as hell. I have friends doing frozen grape concentrate from the grocery store and friends doing concentrates like the one in your pic. What I'm wondering is if taste concentrates like that are organic. I know you do the final flush after feeding it to the plant but will that bud be considered organic if all other grow components were along organic lines? I've actually had some allergic reactions to some weed grown with who knows what and I'm looking for a good organic flavoring.

Are you really trying to imply that the plant can absorb flavor thru the roots?

That is scientifically impossible and the dumbest shit I have read all day.

Perfectly reasonable. Placebo is innocuous unless marketed/sold as otherwise.

"While HIGH TIMES generally doesn’t recommend adulterating an already clean and flavorful plant like cannabis, a little experiment or two never hurt anyone; just make sure that you don’t lie and say it’s some new strain you developed"

I am sure someone sells a OMRI certified "flavor enhancer".

I don't grow organically, nor do I use them, so I don't know of any.

Apologies for being a little bitch. I've been sick and quit drinking and smoking to help get well. Im better now but I thought I'd stick with it and have a break for a bit. Well one week in and apparently I'm irritated as fuck.

Never had withdrawals before-> I guess I was hitting it too hard.

Edit- shit it's only been barely over a week. Goddamn soberness is boring! Seems like forever...

Welcome to my World. I always go on the wagon for the month of January. I get bitchy and I am bored out of my mind.
Good news is we start our next grow in a week, so the sweet smell of weed will be in the house again in a month.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

    Question for the smrt peoples.

Is ALL of the THC stored in the trichomes? I'm led to believe the answer is yes, but seeing 'lab tested' flower coming in in the high 20's to low 30's pct it seems a bit unbelievable.

Like we've all seen some crazy frosty stuff, but I find it hard to believe that the crystals account for upwards of 30 pct of the overall flower mass. (and that's assuming the trichs themselves are 100 pct THC..

I would guess it is all over the plant, but to much lower percentages than trichome.

Rumor has it that Bflake and la rawj got high just smoking the plastic bag - so it is all over.

Growers would know these speculations better than I.

Top 10 Marijuana Related Studies for 2016

By Monterey Bud on December 30th, 2016 at 4:40 pm

    http://www.marijuana.com/contributors/

As the clock strikes 12:01 am on Sunday morning, 2016 will abruptly and mercifully be put down like a rabid beast. While the mountain of marijuana-related research continued to grow ever higher during 2016, proving marijuana’s cannabinoids are truly medicinal; many fear our community’s hard-fought progress is potentially under threat of being rolled back by the new administration. Supportive of MMJ himself (“I think medical should happen”), Trump’s cabinet choices have been questionable with regards to what could happen in the future. With that in mind, below are ten intriguing studies conducted during 2016 that underscore his welcome endorsement.

    Top 10 Studies for 2016
Study: Marijuana is Not a Gateway Drug

“Research suggests that people may be using cannabis as an exit drug to reduce use of substances that are potentially more harmful, such as opioid pain medication.”

Study: Marijuana Use Can Decrease Your Body Mass Index

Alarming some naysayers, scientists concluded those daily marijuana consumers with an XY chromosome (male) have a BMI that is approximately 2.7% lower than non-smokers, while daily female users (XX chromosome) have a body mass index that is approximately 3.1% lower than non-users.

Study: Cannabinoids Obstruct Carcinoma Cell Growth

Published online by the United States National Institute of Health, a group of Chinese scientist found that cannabinoids can inhibit the growth of carcinoma cancer cells. Similar to Dr. Christina Sanchez’s 2014 discovery that THC kills cancer cells, this 2016 study demonstrates that certain cannabinoids trigger specific cancer cells to parish.

Study: THC and CBD Helpful In Treatment of Dementia

A new study finds that tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) are effectual at mitigating symptoms of dementia. The report, published in the U.S. National Library of Medicine – National Institutes of Health, shows that marijuana’s two primary cannabinoids provide hope and help for those suffering from dementia.

Study: Dr. Sue Sisley Gets FDA Approval For Research Of 76 Vets Suffering PTSD

Thanks to the never-ending tenacity of individuals like Dr. Sue Sisley, the FDA has finally provided its long-overdue approval for testing marijuana’s miracle compounds as a potential treatment for veterans returning home from combat with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder).

Study: Israel Conducts First Study on Cannabis for Autism

In the first experiment of its kind, Dr. Adi Eran, head of the Pediatric Neurology Department at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, is planning to test 120 low- to medium-functioning autistic individuals from ages 4 to 30 years. Researchers will administer cannabis oils that are rich in CBD but do not contain enough THC to produce any psychoactive effect.

Study: Alcohol Fuels Aggression While Marijuana Reduces It

Tapping the keg of America’s never-ending violence, “intoxicated aggression” spikes precipitously among drinkers, while marijuana snuffs out those same aggressive tendencies. At least that’s the takeaway message from a peer-reviewed study just published in the July 2016 edition of Springer Science.

Study: States With Medical Marijuana Observe Decline in Sick Time Taken By Employees

Increasing productivity and profitability from coast-to-coast, a new study indicates employees in states with medical marijuana laws enjoy a reduced rate of absenteeism, due to illness.

Study: Cannabidiol Oil Promising Treatment for Pediatric Epilepsy

Offering help and hope to those suffering from intractable pediatric epilepsy, a January 6, 2016 study published on PubMed.gov demonstrated children suffering from seizures have benefited greatly from the administration of a high-CBD cannabis oil.

Study: Cannabis Offers Hope for Insulin Resistant Diabetics

By simply smoking pot, humans inadvertently activate their CB2 receptor. Once activated, research indicates the cannabinoid 2 (CB2) receptor plays a key regulatory role on the secretion of insulin, immune modulation and insulin resistance.

A historic and groundbreaking year, 2016 ushered in a new era for the marijuana reform movement. During the 2016 election cycle, eight states legalized recreational marijuana consumption and several more legalized medicinal cannabis. Putting presidential politics aside, our country made some incredible progress this year. Thanks to the voters in California, Nevada, Massachusetts, and Maine, our freedom loving country has inched ever closer to permanently snuffing out the costly prohibition of a peaceful plant, while the majority of the U.S. has thoroughly embraced the efficacy of medical cannabis.

    Happy New Year 420-world, Peace!

I came in a bit hot today, being New Years Eve I came loaded for bear. Last tram ride of the day I had no less than three people around me make comments. Dude to the right of me, "Smells like Colorado around here.", girl in front of me, "Someone's been smoking reefer.", guy to the left of me to his buddy, "I"m getting high just standing next to this guy." while nodding at me.

That's when I scan the crowd and say "All right, which one of you has been smoking pot?"

I was camped in the Hilton at Whistler for the maggot summit years ago. End of the day, some of the guys ended up in my room and we fire up, shoot the shit, fire up, shoot the shit...and then the knock at the door. Hotel manager. "I have complaints from other guess about smoking going on in here and it's not cigarettes. This is a non smoking hotel and there's an extra $400 charge for cleaning the room." I looked all surprised and, slowly turning around to look at the guys all standing about eight feet behind the manager and me, struggling to keep a straight face, I said, "Have you guys been smoking pot in here?" like I was still all surprised. A few assurances and the manager was on his way. But it took all the guys off guard and they were like "huh, wtf?" and we laughed our asses off for hours about the whole thing.

True but there are some guys playing with the concentrates and "injecting" terpenes from just about any tasty flavor you can imagine back into the raw THC. The stuff I have seen so far is completely clear in color with a semi-hardened rubber cement type consistency and is odorless. Pretty rad.

So.....now that I've been schooled - is there any way to aspirate an entire plant (water starve it?) and inject flavor into the stem for the same effect as the cuts perform when absorbing flavor in steepconcrete's limk?
