Dont know if this belongs here or the baker thread, but anyway.

so whos been buying in the greater toronto area. I hear they have retail dispensaries up and running. This is first hand from Canadian locals. This is retail. Im told laws still "gray" my buddy was impressed with the varitey. One shop had 40+ varietals he told me. Seems everything but edilbes available. Dabs, shatter, concentrates, flower. Edibles are supposed to come but might have to be sold in different places.

I can't wait til my next trip there ;-) What say ye Canaukistanis?

Yeah, I was wondering that also. They cracked down this summer on the dispensaries. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toront...o-50-1.3713900

I've had my eye on this for awhile, as I find it quite the fascinating 'development'..

First https://www.reddit.com/r/TODispensaries/ for day to day news

Toronto's had a bloom of these businesses opening shortly after the election. One of the winning Liberal party pledges was to legalize weed. (Canada already has legal medical weed). Recreational use/sales is currently illegal. Regulatory framework is still being worked on. These businesses are either cashing in on a short term high risk gamble, or are trying to position themselves as legitimate business once the laws change. Busts happen frequently. Front line employees plus management are booked for trafficking. Not sure why some very prominent owners haven't been charged yet.. However, even though sales records are taken into custody, no customers have received any charges.

There are a few tiers here.

A few sell to just Health Canada approved medical patients.

Some sell to what the individual businesses deem as 'medical patients'. (They might have you fill out a form stating you need it to treat X symptom, or some are affiliated with Doctors and will have a skype check up with the buyer to be 'approved' for medical use. Pretty lax and nudge nudge wink wink it seems.

The most recent and brazen trend is a simply recreational storefront, selling to anyone 19+.

Prices seem to get more expensive as we move up these tiers. Quality I've heard can be quite good.

Edibles are a big no no. During the first major series of raids it became evident the police are going after everyone and anyone who sells them. Therefore currently dispensaries stay away from them. (cause like somehow they're more illegal right?)

The stores do carry rotating selections of flower and concentrates. Haven't heard of anyone having 40+ but I could be wrong. (I literally have not stepped foot in one of these places. A couple years ago I would have been all over this but things have changed. It has been quite interesting to watch though.)

If you have any specific questions I'll try to help, but I'm getting all my details from the subreddit listed above.

Not very good cell phone pic of some unbelievably smooth mind expanding Jamaican Lamb's Bread sativa dominant cross my grow bud brought by last night. Beyond impressive.
Shames any of the Durbans I've had. Right on par with Panama Red from the goodle daze.

    Truth.

I just about shit a brick when I started glass shopping last year and found some really nice looking "bongs" by some MotherShip dudes.
All of my stuff is clear and scientific.
But there is some seriously beautiful functional glass art out there right now and over the summer I have gone down the rabbit hole.
This has got to be one of my favorites: https://www.instagram.com/p/_Uel4opU...hilsiegelglass

Glass window shopping only (for me anyway) as I imagine this guy runs ~ 6k for recycler alone.
(Even I think that's crazy ... but it suuuuuuuure is pretty).

Got my 2nd Dream in today. Love that thing.

I'm kind of partial to Banjo glass. But I'd rather have an R8 or 911 or something, than a 100k rig.

Some friends that blow glass made an elaborate dab/oil/crumble/shatter pipe that had a burner under a flat glass plate and like upside down tulips that the smoke was drawn in through. It worked.

Since the discussion is about beautiful expensive glass, this is the website of a buddy of mine: https://columbiariverglass.com/ Pretty nice stuff.
