BURLINGTON, Wash. -- A search is underway for an armed man suspected of killing at least four people in a shooting at Cascade Mall in Skagit County, the Washington State Patrol says.
The suspected shooter was last seen walking towards Interstate 5, away from the mall, Sgt. Francis with State Patrol tells KOMO News.

A photo of the shooter has been released. The suspected shooter is described by authorities as a Hispanic man wearing grey.

Reports stating there was an armed suspect at Cascade Mall came in shortly before 7 p.m.
According to witnesses, a shooter walked into Macy's and opened fire.

Police have swarmed the area, and ask that the public stays away while they search for the shooting suspect.
Cascade Mall has been secured, and all survivors were taken to nearby His Place Community Church and have being questioned by police.

The authorities knew who it was shortly after the shooting.. had his car and plates on vid when he drove away.. finger prints on the weapon.. a few solid tips from Naval personal where he worked.. they kept it all under wraps as they searched for him in Oak Habor...

I assume WA does not have the death penalty since the Green R killer is still alive... Hope they just forget to put him in protective custody a few hrs in the next few weeks..

We do but the current Gov suspended all executions while he's in office. Gary is still alive because he made a plea deal. Last execution we had was in 2010.

Since the death penalty was reinstated in the late 1970's, inmates have been able to choose if their execution will be carried out by lethal injection or hanging. If the inmate makes no decision, hanging is the standard method. Washington is the only state with an active gallows
