A rather special episode of Chris Harris Drives, this week. He talks us through a weekend at Goodwood Revival, and his RAC Tourist Trophy race in a delightful little Jaguar E-Type.
Proof, if any were needed, this is one of the car calendar’s must-do events.
Things escalated quickly during an impromptu car show, cars and color in Telluride.
Talked to a guy with an Austin Healy he's had since new in 1965, 48k miles. Lots of eye candy.
For buster & pnwb
For sale, think it's a real one but it has new bucket seats :/

The "Petrolicous" feed on Facebook and Instagram is classic car porn perfection.

I'll say it again; I rarely like aftermarket rims but those look right on your sled!

4matic's going to shit his pants...
On another note, I replaced the shift bracket and bushings, added wheel spacers, and deleted the resonator on the R. So fun. Sounds awesome. Holding my breath on the sw upgrades... So tempting to think 80 more HP and torque is available for a $699, 15 minute software upgrade. 0-60 in 3.6s. It's pretty sick... It also voids the warranty. Still holding off for now. But I sort of wake up each day thinking "I should just swing down there and do it." We'll see. But as soon as I swallow the warranty pill, it's just a high pressure fuel pump, downpipe, and maybe some motor and trans mounts to get to stage 2+... 400ish hp, 410 torques. $1500 all in maybe? Maybe another $700 for the big brake kit - would need a clutch too... Hard to imagine it won't all happen when I upgrade my summer tires. $3,500 and this Golf is pushing 911 Turbo type numbers. 0-60 in 3.1ish.. It's insane. What a car...
Hopefully VW has beefed up the engines internals or you're going to have a broken engine with the added boast. And I don't think 4matic is a hatchback kind of guy, so he won't shit himself but just sneer in disdain. Me on the other hand, I am a Yuge hatchback fanboy and that is likely why I loves wagons as they are just big HB's.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.
APR seems to have their stuff pretty dialed in. Haven't seen a bunch of posts from people who have blown up their engines... VW also has a handy limp mode feature that's supposed to kick in before you put a piston through the hood of the car. But damage is obviously a risk, not just to the engine, but the whole car. I've never driven a car that does 0-60 in significantly less than 4 seconds. 3.1? A lot of bad shit can happen in a real hurry.
I had an APR tuned RS7 about a year ago. 700+ hp. Engine light stayed on, but it was one fast rig.

Guys on the Swedespeed site that boast their R's can end up with cracked cylinder walls. So ya, you may pay if you want to play with your cars boast. Errr, unless we're talking a Turbo 997 with a Mezger engine. Then it is all good.![]()
