For Contour, I use the low profile mount...but you also need your helmet nice and snug...trying to keep your head focused ahead and not too jerky helps as well.

PS. if its an OLD contour, like a ContourHD, the viewing angle is only 135 degrees instead of the current 170 degrees which makes a massive difference in the pov.
I've noticed the lack of snugness in helmet, especially in firm conditions. Snug enough for skiing, but too loose for stable video. Also, I am always looking around while skiing I have learned. Actually am working on keeping my head facing down hill in line with my shoulders. What I have found most interesting is learning about all the shit I do while skiing. Especially when I forget to turn it off and film for 20 minutes straight. I've even collected footage of driving around on the open air shuttle. My son made me watch ten minutes of that with him. He also enjoys this one clip of him crying for five full minutes after a bigger wipeout. Good times.

Amazing how the snow surface in main gazex changed from smooth as a babies butt last Friday to pockmarked and cupped this Friday not even counting the tracks. Goes to show what a week of warm weather can do
J - Met your neighbor in there earlier this week after he thought we might kidnap his dog. He didn't realize we were going to hike back up w our newfound friend after he followed us down
Was on rlp 4/7 days last week. Fucking butter all week but the window got a bit shorter every day

Chair 4 is closed for the year right??

I guess this is the last weekend for the Cali side of Heavenly, did a few hot laps this morning then hiked up to Monument only to find it was already mank by 10:00am I don't think there has been a freeze up there the last two nights. Guessing Mott will close down this weekend, today was probably my last lift served day there.

Amazing how much the snow pack changed in a week, guess multiple 60 degree days will do that.

For what it's worth, it's way easier to dial in the angle on a GoPro than it is with the Contour, especially if you use 1080p Super View mode.

Groomed is skiing well at Rose right now but starting to get foggy. Precip looks likely. Looks to be of the liquid variety.

Started raining just after noon at the top of Rose (9700 ft), so I called it a day at 10 runs. Took a couple pics on the way out.

    View North towards Reno.

Groomed was fun early before the rain and fog rolled in. Hoping the snow levels drop tonight.

At 9am it as raining at the base of Kirkwood with heavy wet snow falling at the top of Chair 7.

At 10am it was snowing at the top of 6 with the snow level lowering each lap.

11am until I left at 3:30pm it was full fat flakes nuking. Super heavy snow but at least a solid few inches top to bottom. Definitely wet slidey and slushy under the fresh snow but super smooth and easy to ski. The new snow was erasing moguls.

Snow level was at 7000ft at 4pm west of the Spur on 88.

^^^I'll be there Thursday. I've got some attached to my pass. Either $69 or $79. Not sure. I've never used them, but I think I should have some for $69.

Skiing with my son until ski school @ 10:30. Then with a slow boarder buddy. Welcome to join, but we might be putzing. Be fore warned.

I should be able to meet you over at the base pretty early. Bring those Gots and I'll owe you a little cash.

Great vid as always and never miss them when you post... However, 1:50 for the WIN...! I started skiing young, but never had balls to sack up like that until in my teens... Awesome...!
