Drinking both of my Berliner Weiss variations. Turned out really good. Sours on tap in the Scotty cave.

Spent some time at the Cascade Brewing Company taproom in Portland, OR a couple of months ago. Some seriously good sours on tap there (Kriek in particular). Also, just went to the Crooked Stave taproom in Denver for the first time recently, they have a lot of great stuff on tap and having the option to do tasters is a great way to try a bunch. The dark sour ale aged in Leopold Bros. whiskey barrels with cherries was amazing. Great way to kill an hour while waiting for a table at Acorn (which is also pretty amazing).

Had a 2013 avec le bon vieux from Dupont on Wednesday. Goodness, that bottle was right. Made me want to buy a case. Might just suck it up and do that.

Those Odd 13 canned sours are a niche product for sure but they're mighty darn good for those times when you want something a little different than the usual canned offerings.

On this hot ass day, these do nicely.

Brain dead and made of money.
They sure the hell do! That fruity apricot nose gets followed right up by the nice tart palate. Good shit for sure.
Just had a Casey B&B cascade dry hopped saison the other night. What a beer! Gotta be among the top couple of examples of that style in the world right now.

There are NO damn good sour beers out there. They taste like a foot of an 89 year old man.
Long Trail just put out a cranberry gose- I think it's pretty great.

For sure. You can sample a few beers without emptying your pockets or getting completely shitfaced!
The walking part is a good point. There's a nice trail along the waterfront and a convenient pedestrian bridge over the train tracks that's very close to the brewery. It's a bit of a hike from downtown, but certainly doable.
