Limited release so might not be around for long. They're definitely stepping up their game.

Spent some time at the Cascade Brewing Company taproom in Portland, OR a couple of months ago. Some seriously good sours on tap there (Kriek in particular). Also, just went to the Crooked Stave taproom in Denver for the first time recently, they have a lot of great stuff on tap and having the option to do tasters is a great way to try a bunch. The dark sour ale aged in Leopold Bros. whiskey barrels with cherries was amazing. Great way to kill an hour while waiting for a table at Acorn (which is also pretty amazing).

Had a 2013 avec le bon vieux from Dupont on Wednesday. Goodness, that bottle was right. Made me want to buy a case. Might just suck it up and do that.

Cascade is great. The peach and raspberry are both awesome (pretty much the only ones I can find around here).

Crooked Stave is the shit. This one is great right now: Click image for larger version.

I think sierra nevada nailed it with their cactus grapefuit bile gose style ale.

I was mad as hell when i ordered an anderson valley blood orange gose and it was out( on the east coast), so this being my first, could i have done better?

Bump for summer. This is expensive but really good. Also the petite sours are back. Click image for larger version.

For CO mags Odd 13 makes a really nice sour called Vincent van Couch that's pretty cheap and comes in in a sixer of cans.

Had a few of those the other day. Really refreshing. Also had their Walk in the Woods Tequila barrel aged Lime Ale and REALLY liked that (Not a sour technically)

Great, highly drinkable beer. I crushed a few of those last week down there. Missed their Noob release.

Loveland Aleworks American Sour has been hitting the spot. See it on tap around quite a bit.

Those Odd 13 canned sours are a niche product for sure but they're mighty darn good for those times when you want something a little different than the usual canned offerings.

They sure the hell do! That fruity apricot nose gets followed right up by the nice tart palate. Good shit for sure.

Just had a Casey B&B cascade dry hopped saison the other night. What a beer! Gotta be among the top couple of examples of that style in the world right now.

Damn. That is such a great summer beer. Loaded a sixer in my golf bag the other day and they were so refreshing. These sours are awesome summer beers. Fuck that wheat beer bullshit.

FYI: Almanac Golden Gate Gose is blah and I have to keep my eye out for that Dry Dock Apricot Sour around here.

I finally checked out Holy Mountain Brewing here in Seattle over the weekend. These guys do some great brett beers, specializing in saisons. If you're visiting Seattle and are into sour beers Holy Mountain is a must. http://holymountainbrewing.com/

I agree. I don't go often but I'm a big fan of nearly every beer I've had there. I really like the reasonably priced small pours, it's a nice place to stop and turn around when walking on waterfront in the summer

For sure. You can sample a few beers without emptying your pockets or getting completely shitfaced!

The walking part is a good point. There's a nice trail along the waterfront and a convenient pedestrian bridge over the train tracks that's very close to the brewery. It's a bit of a hike from downtown, but certainly doable.
