Except many of these towns still want a share of the tax revenue from legal sales

There are counties in CO, that don't have dispensaries. Douglas is one.

One of the problems in Washington, at least on the east side, is that the majority of counties were opting out.

even the process of pressing ice water hash, or bubble hash, slightly heats it and begins this process.

all other methods use heat in some way.

I'm gonna have to talk to my buddy about that. I don't really mess with making extracts. I do buy the shit out of them, though.

I don't press my bubble hash-- spoon out and dry on foul. Should I press? Why?

Would you be ok with a entire dry state if it was voted in? How about a county ignoring the voter mandated statewide ban and allowing booze?

It's also super ironic that these people who support this state wide legalization ignoring the federal law are getting bent up over a few counties making their own laws. Why does the state have the right to locally govern and not the counties?

I suppose we can just keep voting and voting and voting until we all get the results we want but I thought the whole idea was to make it legal, get taxes and drive out the black market in an effort to reduce crime. Oh well. <shrug>

KQ we have the same problem east of the Cascades. Counties along the ID border all have bans due to pressure from "the neighbors". Several other counties and communities have enacted bans. Even here in relatively liberal Deschutes county, there's a moratorium on any new cannabis related business in unincorporated areas.

Which they have a right to do. Our Measure 91 gave counties who had less than 55% (IIRC) approval of the measure to let the towns and unincorporated areas within their borders decide for themselves.

Good thing is, the ability to grow a trillion clones and four blooming plants can't be abridged by counties or town ordinances.

Can you grow yer own in WA?

    Per WSL&CB web site:

Can I grow my own marijuana now? Can I sell my homegrown marijuana?
Home grown marijuana for recreational use, as well as sale, remains illegal. Recreational use marijuana must be purchased from a state-licensed retailer.

Have a friend who is a total pot head. Hid it from his kid for years but being a stoner might have not been as stealth as he thought. Guy is also very anti-establishment despite the fact he works for the man in a law firm and lives in an very exclusive sub of Seattle - very vocal about his extreme liberal views. Kid, now 16, seems to have learned at Daddy's knee because he has turned into a total fuck-up. Ditches school, won't listen to what Dad tells him, way into drugs, extreme anti-authority. Daddy is freakin' out and considering intervention it's so bad. It's like he can't understand where he went wrong. Idiot.
