Not sure how much being a stoner has to do with it but I find this amusing. Anti establishment is all good until it's your establishment that is being rebelled against.

Reminds me of that infamously falsely attributed Churchill quote

I think the stoner part comes in by way of example he set for the kid. No moderation or caring (pot wasn't legal for most of the kid's formative years), just getting stoned every night/weekend.

Same thing might happen with an alcoholic parent. Just saying, kids are curious and often follow their parents example - parent drinks and drives, kid thinks it is doable, parent texts and drive, kid thinks no big deal etc. etc. This guy wasn't responsible with his pot use, it clouded his judgement causing him to underestimate what the kid picked up on and now he is reaping what he sowed with his kid.

Some people can handle their shit- others can't. Some of the best parents I know are full blown beer brewing winemaking potheads.

Curious why you choose pot as the correlation instead of any other number of things.

Dad was anti establishment and the kid turns out the same--> but it's the dreaded pot to blame?

I only chose pot because the poster (Greg-o) that I quoted and responded to said he was concerned about having pot in the house as his kid was most curious. Simply sharing a situation I know about where the parent didn't think the kid noticed.

Yes, I do think Dad's constant pot use is at issue as the kid is major pot head at 16 and his anti-establishment, fuck-the-man attitude hasn't helped the father when it comes to teaching his son that different rules apply to adults and children.

i meant to mention that high cbd stuff has been very interesting. i've heard a lot of people take it for pain, of which i have an excessive amount of the chronic hehe variety all twisted up in psycho-stress/injuries. i was able to smoke a really high cbd strain (much greater than 1:1 cbd:thc) for a month as kind of a daily driver along with some other things to fill it out. i didn't notice any difference with pain (no more than the normal kind of detachment which i attribute to the other strains i used on top). in fact, i didn't notice much of anything. but after i didn't have access to it anymore, i noticed a huge difference with respect to baseline anxiety which of course can have a significant impact on other symptoms. i haven't had the ability to take it consistently but i do have some high cbd concentrate that i hope to convert to sublingual as soon as i figure out the decarb situation and have enough privacy to deal with it.

just thought i'd throw that out there for your ptsd work. i know a couple people who are being treated with edible/tincture high cbd stuff for non-ptsd related pain who have never taken cannabis in any form before in their lives and it's apparently helping them a lot.
I am in some early talks with two different companies, that are both interested in the high CBD stuff. The bigger of the two, already has a line of products developed.

I'm just getting back into the swing of things, and have a harvest in 6 days. Ill get on the phone with my cook, and find out the best way to process that CBD concentrate.

GG4 just about ready. Tried some early testers, and the hype is real.

RB26 is a badass grower, who has a bunch of time with GG4. His best test results are at day 58. Though most state the chocolaty flavor comes through in the 60s. Little more heft too.

That's screaming fast. 2 days after week 8. Most hybrids I have been running are at least 70 day.

I am going to take her to day 63 and start taking them down. Last of them will come down on day 70.

My son met Maggie the bitch Governor yesterday. Wish he had dope slapped her.
They pass medical law two years ago and it's still not up and going. She is the issue. Her complete goofy nerd of a husband is the Headmaster of Philips Exeter...which our very own Dunfeeeee is an alum of apparently.

I cannot wait for them both to be out of this states politics. Hopefully the Fed will change it's laws sooner than later and it won't matter.

Can someone school me on the shelf life of oil?

I finally ventured into our local store for a little recon re: vaping and the girl who helped me seemed to indicate that it's not something that can sit around for a long time (I'm not a super active user. More a "special occasions" kinda user).

She said they were having an issue with their cartridges leaking and I thought she said it was general concern over time if the cartridge sat long enough. Also, does the oil tend to concentrate more i.e. evaporate if it isn't used?

I admit to knowing nothing about this new-fangled stuff.

Had a conversation with the O-pen folks in CO yesterday. They told me it should be ok for about a year if kept in the dark and at room temp. Flavor goes away but the oil should still be effective.

No idea how valid that info is. Questionable for the lungs imo too.

Yeah if you don't want to make a sale. I didn't buy based on her telling me it would degrade over time and for someone like me that only partakes once in a while that wouldn't be good.

Thanks! Honestly probably not for me given my infrequent use. Funny, I used to partake a lot more when I had a high-pressure 9-5 job with a long city commute in the grey Seattle weather but since moving east and buying a farm I find I don't need the release I used to.

Still I'm a champion of legalization. I think it was the right thing to do.

Pretty sure that is guttation. Plant sugars exuding from high moisture content in the plant.

Unfortunately no THC in that glob. Just sugars and minerals.
