So I put a Kenton Industries custom turret on my hunting rifle--a Tikka .300WM with a Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 MOA. For those unfamiliar, it's simply a turret based upon your specs so that you can select X amount of yards on the dial instead of X MOA. Yes, I know they're the same and yes I understand it's just a shortcut but the less thinking I do while hunting, the better I tend to do.
I shot it out to 400 last night and it seemed to be right on spec. Looking forward to using it this deer season.
FYI I put a beaded buck down at 360 yards with this setup this weekend. I know it's not the longest range in the world but setting up quickly and simply turning the dial to "3.6" made it incredibly easy. I hit him dead square in the ticker and it was Taco Time instantly. I'd recommend these for any hunting rifle.
