For those unfamiliar, it's simply a turret based upon your specs so that you can select X amount of yards on the dial instead of X MOA. Yes, I know they're the same and yes I understand it's just a shortcut but the less thinking I do while hunting, the better I tend to do.

I shot it out to 400 last night and it seemed to be right on spec. Looking forward to using it this deer season.
FYI I put a beaded buck down at 360 yards with this setup this weekend. I know it's not the longest range in the world but setting up quickly and simply turning the dial to "3.6" made it incredibly easy. I hit him dead square in the ticker and it was Taco Time instantly. I'd recommend these for any hunting rifle.

What model did you get specifically? Looks like they have a few different options. Do you like the setup better than using the MOA reticle in the rifle?

I simply clicked through from the Vortex product page of the Viper PST and chose their "LR Hunter" turret. I have never preferred holding over or using the reticle to accommodate ranges ever since I missed a Wally Buck attempting to do so. I like adjusting the turret and having a complete, centered sight picture, etc. So adding this turret seemed like a no-brainer for no-brainer shooting.

I picked up a kahr cw9 on the cheap. Perfect gun so far, just takes getting used to loading the first round with the slide stop which is a pita but worth it.

As much as I like some nice front strap checkering on a 1911, I really love those Hogue Grips. Nice grippy feel with the firm rubber and the finger grooves are perfectly placed for my fingers.

Ullrfest on Sat, scottyb. What's your excuse this year?

I'd love to suppress my main hunting rifle without all of the hoops.

Another company range day, this time with training from a retired ninja. Awesome setup - 7 steel targets plus 2 paper. Practiced engaging targets and pistol/rifle transitions. Was a good time.

Also, the new Magpul Zhukov AK Furniture is fucking amazing.

There are bad people in the world. This is reality. When your career was an all star killing bad guys, those bad people sometimes use the internet to find you and/or locate your family.

Why this is so surprising for someone who lurks in threads just to antagonize, I don't know.

No, you just don't get it and I don't expect you ever would. Guys like this don't have Facebook pages and don't want their faces plastered all over the Internet for a reason.
