Was there today. Down low there is still some color -- but up near Brainard is all gone. Tons of wind pulling down the last of the leaves.

Went up to Golden Gate Canyon state park today. No pics of note. Good hike, but past peak above 8,000 ft. Some color, but not much longer.

A-Basin tweeted out that they think they'll be able to fire up the snow guns tonight. Hopefully it gets cold enough.

I'm going to T-ride Wed-Sat this week. How is it looking there? Web cams are kind of limited.

All the trees are dead. Winter is coming. Godzilla El Nino will kill us all.

That'll be nice. But sitting in my shorts and t-shirt yesterday indicates just the opposite. Winter has been cancelled.

Just got back from 2 weeks in the Desert, it's fucking freezing! Snow on the peaks (dust) here. I'd be perfectly happy with a indian summer though. Still have a few more rides to get in before Turkey Day.

Not really. Valley floor has some and some spots here and there, especially around water.

Agree. Got out for a long hike in RMNP. Weather is perfect. Was 36 when we started hiking this morning.

We've had some moisture over the past 24 hours, but as far as I can tell, snowline must have been really high. Definitely a warm storm. (which is fine, no need for an inch or two if it isn't game on, I'd rather ride a bike)

Generally, does anyone feel like winter has shifted a month? Starts later, goes later?

Yea, but more so for spring.

Don't remember stuff still going off in May, but also don't remember much period!

Even in the years the WROD was going off in early Oct., seems like it always warmed up in November anyways.

Hopefully it will take off when temps stay lower, and then never stops.

Yawn, it's an indian summer and I'm digging it. Paddle boarded, and climbed yesterday, mountain biked and hiked today. Who the fuck cares about WROD season? I hope it stays like this till just before Turkey day then starts dumping. That usually prevent shitty weak layers, and leads to some of the better seasons in my experience.
Totally agree and I'm digging it too. Just seems like the season has shifted a bit. I love having a deep April/May when most "skiers" are done skiing.

Winter hasn't shifted. If you're stressin' in mid October, pop a Xanex.
    I find late April/May overhyped.

The WROD is the most overhyped thing in snow sports. Skiing would start in December and end in May. But ski areas have shifted it forward to October so they can make money early then coast through the season on the money from their WROD passes and Ski pass sales. Then the close earlier and earlier every year to save money even though they have ten times the terrain open compared to early season. It's all a scam I tell ya!

It's a good time late season, but most lifts aren't spinning and anything not facing north gets mushy, so I move it down a notch.

Besides that's when golf season kicks in - so when faced with either golf or big backcountry lines, smackin little whitey around always will come out on top.

    Both of you are misguided.
