    Bump

RUG is back up to $2.99 here in Denver. Diesel is like $2.50 though which is sweet!
Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!
    Cletus: Duly noted.

    $1.27/L in Whistler, BC, Canada.
    So $0.87 USD per Liter
    1 L = 0.246 Gallons
    1 Gallon = 3.785 Liters
    So $0.87 x 3.785 =
$3.29 USD per Gallon.... I think?

close...but your exchange is too favorable to the US. 1 CAD=0.764 USD so
    $0.97 USD/L, $3.67/gal.

Locally the Costo/Safeway price is down to $2.85-90 or so. Shell/Chevron/Texaco seem to be in collusion though. Despite Oil being off nearly 30% since the end of June, their prices in my hood haven't budged a bit at any of these, still holding at $3.29.
Move upside and let the man go through...

Just filled the powerstroke up at 2.22 this morning though. That was nice!

Where is the Justice Departments Anti Trust lawsuit? These fuckers are colluding to keep prices high and I only use Chevron gas.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

$1.74 at the Charlottesville Costco, that saves about $15 on a fill up for my car.

Where did you find it for $3.50? That's really good for So Cal. Lots of places still over 4.00.

People are such sheep in CA. Imagine if gas prices in the rest of the nation suddenly jumped to CA prices. There would be rioting in the streets. We just accept whatever BS excuse the oil companies and our Govt. tells us. It's ENRON all over again, only with the State's blessing.

You understand the law of supply and demand, right? There's only so much refining capacity (much of it right next door to you) and we're not connected to pipeline infrastructure in the rest of the country. Couple that with a bunch of refinery outages this year, and you've got high prices. We also have the cleanest burning gas in the country (how long you lived in Long Beach? remember smog alerts?), but that's only a small part of the price response.

There's only so much the Legislature can do, but there's at least some movement to do something about it:

So... Mr. Wolf, what would you have us do?

Surely you're not suggesting that the price of gas is purely driven by supply and demand, are you? It's hardly a free market.

not really true. If that were true, why is gas at the northern border nowhere near $4/g? Same regs and taxes apply, right?

I think you know me better than that. And I actually mentioned factors in my post that indicate that it's an imperfect market.

But within our current refinery parameters prices in CA are pretty close to what you'd expect. Refining capacity is tight. A bunch of refineries have gone down for periods this year. It's possible that there's something else at play, but if you read the news out here you'd see that it's largely related to refining issues.

My last purchase and fill up was at $2.40 a gallon. Just over $40 to fill up. Typical nickel off the pump price just a few miles from home, but many stations across the city are still showing $2.54 and slightly higher. The crude price market drops recently hopefully maintain or even go a bit lower come the end of summer travel season.

In CA we are conditioned to $4 gas, so anything below keeps us happy. Hopefully this winter I can buy Chevron premium for $3.50 per gallon and I will be a happy boy, as that is when I do most of my driving. For my next car I want a awd diesel that gets 40 mpg. I hope someone makes it for me someday at a reasonable price.

Regular gas in Summit County, CO is like $2.72..... I love how the gas station at Copper Mountain just rapes the retards who come up to do the Warrior Dash. They are charging $4.15 for regular!!
