I am not a huge fan, but the car can move out.

Ferrari won't let Top Gear run the LaFerrari.
I was going to double check on that too but forgot, oh well. Still can't wash the bad taste out of my mouth.

Any company that doesn't let Top Gear test is lame.

I think there is a way but it's a huge pain in the ass.

Part 1 of 2 that needs replacing. Planning to start doing N/A mods to push towards 300whp+ (from estimated 260 now) while keeping it a comfy daily. If it's preferred I can start a new thread to not dilute this one.

Seen several X3s around this week and really like the styling. Good looking ride for the class, I'd expect it handles relatively well too with a low center of mass and good footprint.
You should start a build thread. I like build threads. Also if you want help, gimme a holler.

That's a lot of money right there. Probably the four most valuable cars in the world, either individually or collectively.

I think this qualifies as beauty meets speed.

I got a chance to drive an Aston Martin Rapide S the other weekend for about 30 min...yee-owza. 1st time I've ever been in anything that expensive, probably the last too. For a 4 door sedan, it moved along. Exhaust note sounded like a 50 pieces of canvas getting ripped at the same time.

I have to admit that that is one fine Aston 4door!!!! But only because it looks like a coupe. At 6'3", I doubt I'd have much room sitting in the back seat of that thing, though! But who cares about knees when you are flying thru the S -turns in an Aston?????

Don't know if this has been posted but if you are ANYWHERE near philadelphia the Simeone Museum is the place to be. Saturday mornings they fire up a few antique race cars and run them around the parking lot.

It almost makes me want to move there.

ex Keef Richards Blue Lena Bentley for sale.

Nicknamed “Blue Lena” after jazz singer Lena Horne, this is the car that carted Richards and company to concerts, recording sessions -- and Marrakesh, Morocco, where the Stones decamped after a 1967 party raid resulted in narcotics charges.

The trip to Morocco was a messy one for all parties involved. Though Richards, Brian Jones and Jones’ girlfriend, Anita Pallenberg, set off for northern Africa in the Bentley, Jones soon fell ill. Richards and Pallenberg made it to Morocco and promptly began a relationship

    Car Porn.......beauty meets speed (SFW)

BBeater/utarr mags: Wide Open Wednesday is approaching Aug 5th @ Toeele. $60 including helmet rental for a few laps. 1 mile straightaway http://www.millermotorsportspark.com...wednesday.html 1x/monthly for the jongs to play racer.

Edit: Yeah it's definitely putting out mph, the Z (or the track) isn't built to run that fast with the same motor n/a. Maybe on the salt flats with non racing gears..

Someone in the work garage has a 918, not this racing spec though. No livery either.. kinda dig the Martini paint. And several Porsches, 740 new, Tesla. Haven't figured out who it is yet. Think he went to the UofU.

Yeah that sounds like fun. Some of the pc car club dudes have been trying to get me to go. I'm tapped out on my car budget for the year. Got another kid coming in September as well.
My car needs another $1500 - $2k in work to get it where I would want it for part time track duty. It works great right now for daily canyon duty.
I used to get lots of track time. I miss it. I did tons of track days in my mr2, then I started instructing for scca at Miller and racing an n/a 944 spec car (tried to sell it in the padded room like 5yrs ago) so I know the thrill. If I started up again, I might end up robbing my mother's grave to pay for track time and parts...

That side exhaust car is the concept vehicle for the 918.

Whoever it is, made a good decision. I have a guy that I work with, who just turned down 1.6 for his.

That's a great looking Porsche to be sure! However, the performance isn't that dissimilar to the the racing Porsche 996 GT3 that raced in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. The Daytona Prototype drivers in the race readily complain about the MUCH slower Porsche GT3s clogging up the race course! They have to slow down for them and consider them a nuisance! Lol

Accordingly, I'd rather have one of these....a Daytona Prototype. A road-going version of a DP car would be sweet!!!!
