What do you mean about Lawson's and two roads? Did they have some collaboration?

Sean Lawson had a partnership with two roads to brew sip of sunshine.

10-4. Thanks, I knew they brewed it down south in partnership but didn't know it was with 2 roads. Honestly I'm not a huge fan of Sip of sunshine. It's decent, but I'm more a triple play, dose fan myself

That was a NE reference only...and just to give the VT'ers (FD specifically) shit, so...

But, the fact that you've only had a magic hat makes your opinion, well, just shit man. VT beers are great. The hops are from the west coast though

Magic hats basically a sellout joke

Yeah, the Pliny is a tasty one and you need to try it, but the VT beers are equal and maybe better. I would like to have samples side by side of freshies. Pliny the Younger is one I haven't had and would like to try.

    Younger is a wet hop?

Sidenote: I was impressed with Rock art's Limited access DIPA. not a huge fan of their other options but that one is a homerun

The pub is a cool place if you ever make it out that way.

Very nice haul there Peruvian, definitely a nice start to the week right there.

MPPG - Wet hop anything for the win! Younger is high on my list but odds are against me there.

Agree on the Limited Access, just bought a 6'er the other day on a whim...not the biggest Rock Art fan either but they surprised me with this one.

I may have missed this, but have any VT'ers gotten to try Focal Banger yet?

some damn good IPA's out there

To my understanding Lawson's just contract brews in same facility that brews 2Roads. Nothing Lawson's brews there is a collab per se. I've had nothing from that facility but news from the front it is not the same quality as what is still brewed in VT. Know nothing really about what Lawson's still doing on home turf.

Curious on your thoughts, Peruvian, on both your deliveries. Found both those brews enjoyable for sure but not to the hype. To each his own and enjoying a beer more important than any "rating" but curious nonetheless. Happens to be two beers that each feel well short of Internet inspired expectation for me.

Had a few cans Last summer, and my recollection might be, uhhh, a bit hazy, but I wasn't a huge fan of the Focal banger, it has a grassy taste that I'm just not a huge fan of.

The crusher, (headys bigger brother) on the other hand was very good

Side by side by side by side taste test? I think I'll throw my homebrewed IPA into the mix just to see how it ranks.

To me, Pliny and Sip of Sunshine are much more similar than HT is to either one. HT is like a hop milkshake. Big, huge, robust flavors. Smack you in the face flavor, and a bit of a palette wrecker. I can never taste anything else after a HT. The other 2 are a little more subtle. The nose on Pliny and SoS is amazing, imo.

CO mags - Bootstrap Brewing (Niwot) Insanse Rush IPA is becoming my favorite IPA this summer. Comes in 6 pack of cans making it great for camping, the river, etc.

edit - are those Zombie Dusts? Mmmmmm

So.....what's the best place to look for some Heady Toppers in the Burlington area this Sunday? Heading to Canada for the week. Don't mean to be racist, but the beer up there sucks. Would it help if I learned French?

Check their website? No one is going to give up their secrets, but there are a few if you look...

Sundays are tough as they were delivered on Friday and so usually long gone. What's wrong with Brador?

    Indeed - 3 Floyds ZD.

So far, Mrs. Peruvian prefers my home brewed IPA to Heady or Pliny in blind taste tests. Can ZD hold up????

With all the top notch beers coming out down your way I'm tempted to come south for a beer run! Trillium, Wormtown, Night Shift, TreeHouse etc., etc.

I'm not the biggest HT fan but funny, I have 1 more hanging around in the back of fridge also that will be cracked in 3-2-ahhh.

Not that I grab it all that often but it seems to be more available locally in recent months. I think the fanboys/out of towners go to the large retailers so they can get cases to make the drive worthwhile but the smaller local guys that only allow 2 4 packs per sale seem to have some available, sometimes even the day after a delivery.
