I appreciate the offer FD. My wife was up that way today for work . I used this internet thing to find some stores in Waterbury that get Thursday delivery. First place sold out in an hour. They directed her to a lesser know store that had some left.

    Jumping on the band wagon.

Those of you who aren't fans of the over-the-top hop monster IPAs might want to try Great Divide's Rumble. To be honest it's a little too restrained for me, but there's no question it's a well-made beer.

Very excited to see this for the first time,at Costco
Expected to love it at 10.3 alcohol and 102 IBU's,And I did except for the excessive (to me) malt very sweetness.I like the bitter, and have never seen it overwhelmed by sweet like this.

If not a big HT fan (not either - appreciate it just don't need 16ozzz of a 8% hop bomb) Trillium pale stuff is great. Their dub IPAs are all the rage but find their pale ales to be where it's at (basically IPAs w their dubs over the top hoppy then dry hopped or double dry hopped - get my point). Tree House another level imho and others in MA on a differ tier (although Jacks Abby can surprise).

The Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA has been treating me nicely

A beer that is easy to get, Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA. I like the hard to find IPAs, but I like how I can get this beer at a bunch of spots. It is my favorite 'bang for the buck' beer to get, a great beer from a larger brewery.

I don't dislike HT strongly and actually enjoy it occasionally but not one that's in my normal rotation, if I have such a thing...too many others locally that I enjoy much more. Now, Focal Banger would be a different story I think if only it was more available.

I've yet to get my hands on any of them (other than Jacks, which is available here, good but not outstanding imo although I've only had a few) but TreeHouse is the one I hear is top of the bunch with Night Shift a close second. Hoping to make it down to MMP's new club for a round and a visit to TH after before the season is over.

^^ not trying to shit on HT at all. Great beer for sure just bigger than I tend to go. FB great too. JA hit or miss and hop forward stuff better on tap. TH top tier although recently have found their cans to be inconsistent (not that I've have many in cans and takes time to dial in a new system). Nightshift, meh, but to each his own. They tend to hit for a very low average but do get hits from time to time. Hope you make it down to form your own opinions. Def check out Trillium as well.

Once Trillium expands and (hopefully) TH moves into Boston the Boston beer seen is going turbo charged. Can't wait. Already frustrating Trillium pulled back almost all draft and bottle accounts since they can just move it all from the source.

Agree, had it last week. Delicious. I Liked it, and regular sculpin, so much I have a meeting today with the rep to start carrying it at our store.

    Agreed
But if you get a chance, and the same distributors usually have it though it is seasonal,go for Hoptimum, also Sierra Nevada, but 10% goodness

Ya good beer. Hopefully the drought ends so there's no shortage of grapefruit. Damn fine beer ingredient.

Saw that one a while back, need to pick it up.

One regional one I enjoy is the Grand Teton Brewing Trout Hop Black IPA & Lost Continent Double IPA. Both are the Brewmaster Reserve series.

^ I love Ruination. 2.0 was great, haven't tried the Ruinten yet. ^

Here in MT had Blackfoot River Brewery's Single Malt IPA and it was amazing. Out of Helena MT.

For other CA brands ... I've been drinking quite a bit of Saint Archer IPA recently. Very much my style of malts and hops.
Schralph, I don't know if I was fully focused on the beer - I was in Auburn to watch an ultramarathon - but it didn't impress me as much as I thought it would. Because of the high praise that you've always given it, I had super high hopes - especially since I was at the source - but it didn't knock my socks off. I need to give it another go, that's for sure.

Just got home from working a pig roast. The wedding party had lots of Sip of Sunshine, heady topper, HF Edward and work of love. They had a keg of allagash white as well as citizens cider. I'm glad I helped the bartender after the service!

Sounds like a wedding worth crashing.
