I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but I thought it was an interesting take and I was surprised to see it implemented in Utah. I think that fact gives it a bit more weight for other places as well.

Well the LDS church buying in seems to be helping a lot, but I agree that if a very conservative place like Utah can get behind that program it should make it easier for others to follow suit. It all makes a ton of sense to me, good for them.

I don't think that is exactly over reach. Assuming that the arrest and the tactics were correct - the home can be rebuilt. As long as the family isn't burdened with costs of temporary housing or repairs I don't have much of a problem with this.

Wouldn't recommend acting like that, even if he has a point its kind of annoying. If I was a cop and had to deal with that shit all day I'd be pulling people out of their cars by their hair as well.

Perhaps I don't have to deal with that shit because I am white, but regardless if you are white, black, mexican, californio, purple fucking alien, there is no excuse for law enforcement pulling over people for no reason. Couple burglaries down a street, so you say. Bullshit.

I don't talk to law enforcement in that way. i am respectful of the job they have to do and ask them simply what they need. But I am white and usually not in trouble other than traffic violation that I deserve to get called out on. In this case, young black man in fast car with aggressive stance with cop seems to worked out. Not always the case. The video on the phone probably had a lot to do with the positive outcome here.

All law enforcement should wear video recording nowadays on stops. Protects both citizens and law enforcement at a cheap price. If there is a question of what happened, let the jury decide based on the video evidence. I would be in full support of video mandatory for LEO interactions with citizens. The risk seems low considering the upside

Cop was definitely agro. But I also read he responded to two suicide calls earlier that day, one of them actually did take their life. Can anyone confirm this? He was way out of line but if the former was true he might have been having a bad day.



This also may be creeping into polyass territory, but am I the only one who thinks it is ridiculous a highschool principal got fired for saying this about the situation:
