She's sold... It was some old euro couple north of San Diego. Probably hadn't seen one donut . Two black ones in KS and WI are cherry, working on price.

Bummer. A good sign was that it had stock rims, no aftermarket stuff as far as I could see, void of decals plastered all over the car and looked like it rolled right out of the showroom. THAT'S the kind of used sports car to look for. I've had good luck in the past, but definitely had to shop. Passed on a beautiful used CTS-V because it had low miles yet the clutch was already trashed. I could feel it, but the salesman was trying to play it off like it was perfect. Either the previous owner learned how to drive stick on it, or it was abused. No matter, I found one with the same mileage and a clutch that felt like new, and the car still felt fantastic after I passed it on to the next lucky owner after I got to enjoy it for like 100,000 miles. A test drive can say a LOT about how it's been treated. See how the clutch feels, take a look at brake and tire wear, etc.

You'll find a good one. Just be VERY picky, and only settle for the very best example of the car you want.

^ agreed, I'd rather spend a grand shipping the right car from Florida than go for the quick buy. Drove this 335i today. It was listed as a 6spd online but was auto. The paddle shifters were programmed kinda funky but the power was addicting. Brown high quality leather interior against the chrome and wood. Likely would have bought it if it was stick and a bit cleaner around the edges. Too smooth.. gotta stay away from the BMWs!

Going to get that dealer to help locate and ship. They'll make 500-1k but I'll use their lender to bargain for a better rate and they're going to beat up the seller on price more than I can. Should be around a week as there are about 5 really nice HR models in my price range nationwide.

I was very close to buying a CPO '12 BMW 328xi; it's just a perfect sports sedan. There are a surprising number of 6 speed manual sedans floating around for sale with a CPO 100k factory warranty. I didn't pull the trigger because of insurance costs. I guess a used, late model BMW in a city is high risk. I ended up with a '15 VW GTI - more practical and cheaper to run (for now).

I like my bmw 330xi, 6spd manual with sport package, but it is nowhere near the sports car my Porsche 944 turbo is, or my mr2 turbo was. I think the Bimmer are very nice, but if you really are after the fun let loose feeling of a sports car, look for something light and quick, I'll bring up the s2000 again, even a Porsche boxster, (make sure ims bearing has been updated). If you want a daily cruiser that is sporty, the Bimmer is an excellent choice.

    ^ nice quiver.

Local salesman that let me take the 335i out found a nice z in PA.

    2008
2 owner (lease to 18k then PA owner that serviced @ same Nissan dealer from 19k-62k, reg maint. Only)
    350z 6spd
    Silver w black cloth interior

Carfax is clean and value is above book due to interior options.

Edit: Clean interior, signed this afternoon. Should be dropped off the truck within the next week or so.

Yeah, I used to have the full house of cool cars, fj80 cruiser, e30 325ix awd, and Toyota mr2 turbo. Now I am down to the bmw and Porsche. Wife's 4runner handles suv duties.
Porsche got some 17" cup 2 wheels yesterday. Check it. Some how I fucked up my picture and it is backwards.

Check out the interior and engine carbon. Not crazy about the red.

You never drove my 2001 or was it an 02 M coupe. That car would crush the above mentioned cars. I was dumb to sell it, but it was a little small for me.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

That car was designed as a sports car, like the above mentioned cars. I like the m coupes. Funny looking buggers.

Looks be damned I always liked the coupe better. Liked some of the wheel pairings and the stance.

much more versatile than the nissan Z, has a huge hatch, built in roof rack mounting points, some have even added a trailed hitch.

Not yet. Thinking it'll be nice to put OEM leather seats in first ($500 on eBay). Small OEM rear spoiler, then maybe flywheel/clutch.. Depends on how good for everyday use the clutches are.

Weary of obnoxious exhausts, I like music. Had a Borla on a 99 camaro that sounded nice, they have a Z kit.. Any suggestions for a 'classy' ish exhaust? Would like to do block back eventually.

The exhaust note on the 350 is pretty good stock.

Heh. Only half serious given the car is still in transit. Seats and spoiler sound like some nice changes.

Agree on the sound. Stillen and JWT made mild exhausts for the Z32TT. Not sure if that carried over to the 350Z. I had a watermelon cannon on my first RX-7. Eventually switched to a model very close to stock.

So when does it arrive? Bring it out to a park City car Club meet if you want to meet some other sports car enthusiasts and see some cool cars.
