Ahh, was a little like 'huh' as it wasn't to the lake on opening slack day. Ya know, that day Jon cut me in line.

Well, I suppose if one was so inclined, they could string together patches and make it to the lake. Certainly looked that way to me on Monday.

maybe it was just the altitude or something. ;-)

Killington announces they will not open June 1, looks like EC lift serve is done for the year.

Riding tonight after the front passed was very nice, humids dropped significantly. Black flies are thick as thieves right now.

Black biters aren't too bad here in the lake valley (yet) but damn the skeeters are in full Dracula mode right now! Taking the dog for her nightly run was more of a blood letting than a stroll in the woods earlier.

    boot up was solid

chokes were getting melty, but holding.

all and all a very choice day. Big up rudeness and ripper for driving like troopers.

    ^ Thanks for the Otto/GG/Airplane beta/stoke!

Now I just have to hope it will still be intact for me on Wednesday after the oncoming onslaught:

Quote Originally Posted by Higher Summits Forecast Summary

Winds will slowly decrease this morning, with rain increasing in intensity this afternoon as an area of low pressure over the Ohio River Valley tracks towards New England. Rain will continue overnight and through much of Monday as the low pressure moves just south of the area, with rain possibly changing over to freezing rain briefly late tonight and once again Monday night as temperatures fall to near or just below freezing. Below average temperatures and soaking rains will also create potentially dangerous hypothermic conditions over the next 48 hours, and any persons hiking above tree line should be sure to dress in warm and waterproof gear. Rain will finally taper off to showers by Tuesday afternoon, with high pressure and dry weather expected for the middle of the week.

3 1/4 " of rain water in two buckets at my jobsite yesterday. Slide Brook and Lower Horseshoe roads on German Flats washed out overnight Sunday and some neighbors had their garage flooded when a culvert was overwhelmed.
Although it is below freezing at the summit of Washington, I'll bet that plane is going down fast.

Muggy and breezy riding Sat./Sun. with few bugs flying about, saw the first deerfly of the season.
Backyard trails are riding nice although there seems to be too much raking going on in places.

The most recent Airplane Gully beta from the weekend:

    http://timefortuckerman.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=16533

(Looks like that's about it for "real" skiing out East this season, so Thursday will be a leisurely road-assisted hike out to Jefferson, with brief ski stops along the way back at the Beach, Pipeline, Airplane, and Batman.)

Wow, Sunny and calm bob this AM. Moonset at 4:45 was beautiful, should have jumped out of bed to snap a pic. 5 3/4" of rain fell during our monsoon, hope it helped the water table.

That SS S is going to be an exclamation mark very soon, hope you have fun tomorrow JS. Trails should be tacky goodness this evening.
