This was never a White vs. Black thing, despite what many online and on air claim. None of the protests - in Ferguson, NY, or B-more - were about white people fucking up black people. Literally it was about the COPS vs. Black people. In every one of those 3 cases there were black cops present and the protesters understand that, even if the echo chamber doesn't.

The highest penalty charge in the Freddie Gray case is against a BLACK cop. He deserves the charge. That man tried to hurt that boy who was trussed up like a chicken in the back of his van, unsecured, and he purposefully took turns and stopped short to hurt him. This isn't a new thing.

The two white cops on bikes tried to hurt that boy when he ran away from them. They had NO probable cause, and their justification, that he had a switchblade (that they didn't find until after the arrest) turned out to not be a switchblade after all and a completely legal weapon to have. Imagine if he'd had a gun in TX.... Running away from the cops IS NOT ILLEGAL unless they have a reason to detain you. There is no law in the land that says if you look a cop in the eye and they move forward that you cannot run away. Even if they tell you to stop there is no reason why you should.

Imagine if any of you who post here walked up to a cop, stared at them, and then turned and ran away... did you break a law? Do you deserve to be detained, much less arrested and thrown in a paddy wagon? Of course not.

Again, this isn't a problem the black community has with all of our white asses, this is a problem they have with COPS. Police these days think that they are the law, and they are not.
Should be posted in all police precincts across the USA.

It's just so fucked up. Of course there will be no consequences for the pigs who broke her face. She was such a threat...

The number of people who are defending the cops in comments are crazy. Who in their right mind thinks that it is ok for a cop to respond like that to a drunk woman who threw a hair tie. That type of escalation would be seen as completely unacceptable in any setting. Imagine if a husband did that to his wife and claimed self defense, but because they wear a badge it is ok? Seeing people support and justify this behavior really demonstrates how the brutal police regimes are tolerated throughout history.

Police behaving badly, indeed. Great read. Juicy details of the incident when the old grandmother was beat up. You should be proud, Baltimore.

    BALTIMORE -
An Anne Arundel County police officer faces an assault charge after he bit another man's testicles in a fight over a woman on Cinco de Mayo, according to charging documents released by police Wednesday.

Baltimore City police officers were called in the area of the 700 block of S. Linwood and 2900 block of O'Donnell Street for an assault call around 11:47 p.m. Tuesday.

According to charging documents, a man told police he was assaulted by two men, one of whom bit his testicles in the alley behind Looney's Pub in the 2900 block of O'Donnell Street.

A woman approached the responding officers to tell them she witnessed the fight, according to charging documents. Police said she gave description of the attacker who was wearing a blue and white polo shirt and cargo shorts. She told the police she waited at the front door of the Claddaugh Pub at 2918 O'Donnell Street for police arrive as she had seen the attacker walk in there, according charging documents.

According to the charging documents, police said Michael Flaig, 31, was found on the second floor of the bar with blood stains on his shirt. Flaig identified himself as an Anne Arundel County police officer and after he was identified as one of the attackers, was placed under arrest, according to charging documents.

Police learned that Flaig and another man jumped the victim outside the bar after the victim confronted Flaig about his touching his friend and roommate -- a woman.

The victim told police that during the altercation Flaig bit his testicle and ran off. Police said they were unable to find the second man involved in the attack.

Flaig is being charged with second-degree assault.

Anne Arundel County police and Baltimore Police Department Internal Affairs were notified of the incident, according to charging documents.

    Wow.
Innocent civilians everywhere must be on edge, too.
I wonder how often civilians get killed by cops...
