Everytime I go back I think there may be improvements but no, just a notch above a third world airport. They don't even have digital displays at the gates - fucking have to change by hand lol. And the bathrooms rival the Washington Sq public restrooms where I've seen bums sleeping on the shitter![]()

Just got off a flight from Frankfurt to Toronto to denver.
DIA is supposedly the best airport in the nation and yet both of those airports absolutely shit on Denver.
I can't believe that we don't fund infrastructure in this country anymore, yet supposedly we are the best nation on earth
Agreed, that we are borderline third world with our low priority on infrastructure. Having said that, I was underwhelmed by Toronto, which I found impossible to navigate as well as having a terrible ground transportation setup. I'm a big fan of DIA, and with my limited European experience, I absolutely loved both Zurich & Geneva.
Cheers,
Thom

DIA is pretty efficient, considering volume, and a nice space.
Even if it was a shithole, the devil horse and elaborate conspiracy theory make it pretty cool.
All the NYC area airports suck.

Well I guess senate Republicans think having good tires or chains is too much of a burden.
ROLL TIDE ROLL
"But Senate Republicans considered the requirement too much for noncommercial drivers. "
WTF does that even mean, too much? Fucking unbelievable.
Wasn't the wording of the law making it so they would be required on every mtn road in CO, not just I-70?
If I was some non-skier country guy who didn't give two shits about some trustafarians getting first chair, I'd probably be telling my state rep to nix the bill as well. These people are still the majority of Colorado voters after all.
Live Free or Die
Quality snow tires aren’t $50, that’s for sure.
It has nothing to do with trustafarians getting first chair...how about those trying to do business, unable to count on the hwy being open bc idiots drive Priuses with bald tires in snow storms.
Skiing related - tourists will stop coming and spending money on our state if the hwy problems aren't fixed or at least kind of fixed. The economy will suffer.
We don't need more laws. We need enforcement of current laws. You can already get a ticket for unsafe mountain driving and improper equipment. If State Patrol got some funding, they could launch a marketing campaign (like they do for DWIs) and try to change behavior.
Giterdun!

Good. The requirement wasn't for good tires, it was for snow tires. Or carrying chains (but not necessarily using them, which is good, because then we'd have a cluster of motorists on the shoulder trying to figure out how to put chains on their little cars). And exempting 4WD vehicles altogether - this is a bill that would've done nothing more than give people another reason to buy an SUV. Glad it's dead. Basically, our state Dems are transforming into collectively the biggest bunch of idiots in the west. We are very much going to lose the House in the next election. (Which is deserved - turning the leadership over to a Boulder County rep is foolish.
ROLL TIDE ROLL
A log of CDOT notifications in my inbox over an 8.5 hour period today. It makes me wonder why I'm even considering a new pair of powder boards. It's getting to where the best ski equipment investment is either real estate West of the Divide, or alternatively an RV you can nap in while waiting out 2-3 hour closures ...
