Another EPIC weekend at Magic. Did a Snow Valley lap each morning followed by Magic each afternoon. At Magic skied woods all day and basically top to bottom pow every run. Lost my contour just off of Moonshine Corner, don't care, still great weekend.

It was crazy good this weekend. That perfect amount of people so that the chair is full but the line was about 2 mins max.

The bumps were big, fall-line friendly and fluffy, the woods skied well and the groomers were the best I've ever seen them. Honestly it was sick, I can't wait to get back up there- oh yeah and it was snowing all day & DUMPING when I left. Crazy.

Also the sledneck extravaganza was awesome, they pulled it off clean as hell and it was really cool to watch them air it out from the bottom of wiz. I thought it was going to be a shitshow but man it was really cool. Hope they made some dough!

I had a great time this weekend. Like DoWork, I thought the snowmobiling would be a bit of a shitshow, but thought it was pretty cool. Much cooler than what were essentially drag races in years past.

I would have liked more of the nice bumps though. I wish they would have left Sorcerer ungroomed and I was a bit baffled why they ran a single line of groomed snow right up the center of a big section of Magician (leaving a rough edge of big chunky stuff on both sides). Black Line and sections of Magician were really nice bump skiing though.

I've been showing up at Magic pretty much every winter weekend for five or six years now and this weekend I skied two things I'd never skied before, one of which was about as central and inbounds as you can get. I think I did the same last weekend. It's a pretty cool place that can hold out new twists that long.

There was a glimmer of “Just maybe Hermitage skier’s is going to come in & make it rain (good way), pop the champagne & open the checkbook”. Needless to say, it didn’t happen. I can assure you that PM did not come from me nor would I have the means/brains to do so. So can someone sum this up? He’s NOT a gay (good way) gazillionaire?

    Great weekend.

I sent the PM and I'm damn proud of it. As a fair warning to all of you, every opportunity to save Magic will be followed up on. Even if we are 99.99% confident it's our friends playing a joke on us, I don't care, that 00.01% just means there's a chance! I will assume every single person who claims they want to ski Magic is real. Heaven forbid we miss the one person who could really help out.

For the record I paid full price for my ticket the other w/e. Though by doing so, I needed to get the chicken fingers without the fries for lunch.

The shop isn't open for some reason so make sure to bring matching socks but there are two kinds of stickers available for purchase with your ticket. I kind of like to collect them all.

It was open 2 weekends ago. Were they just closed on snowmobile weekend to avoid inventory shrinkage?

Thanks dood but just wait until next year! It'll be so good we're gonna have you getting on a plane to get out here! I'm going to ride this wave of stoke straight through to 15/16 and I'm bringing everybody I can with me. We're gonna have awesome conditions and vibes well into the spring and once the snow melts, the work begins to make it even radder over the summer! Probably going to increase the number of work days and have a mountaintop camping weekend for the Perseid meteor shower again. That was too rad not to revive.

I can't believe how good last years projects turned out. I know I didn't get a chance to participate, but the east side glades are awesome. Treat, Crystal Ball, along with a few others have been super fun. RG's secret stash, incredible. Even stuff like Rabit Hole and White Tiger and now full blown glades rather than sketchy single track runs. Let me know the dates of the camping trip and I'll be there.

there has to be a better name than Treat, that is a stupid name. Treat? Even if the glade sucked it would deserve a better name
and while not secret for the most part, are we really naming unmarked glades on the internet? I am channeling Bumpskier.

Isn't the whole purpose of code names so that you can talk about glades without giving away their location? Although Treat fails that test as well.

Seriously "Treat" sounds like a wonderful and beckoning invitation for young children to get lost in the woods....

And names, but no GPS info is lame. WTF!?

i am wholly unaware of the purpose of anything, and have my period because I'm back at work. Three of the things you mentioned are not code names, and aren't on the trail map, unless I am completely clueless (possible).
