Saw this for the first time this weekend...multiple times. People sitting on the snow. With the toe of their boot in the binding. They were then trying to pull up on the back half of the ski to try and get the rest of the boot in the binding.

Day two of lady skiing with a 4 way lug wrench. Guessing part of church group.

Judging by the snow packed in the wrench ends, she has crashed a few times with it.

whats funny is that I posted that just to fuck with everyone even more over there. Been using TOR and I still post on epic basically just to piss Phil and the majority of the moderators off.

herd today in stowe's largest terrain park.

Yo buddy make sure you land on top of that jump because the the backside is REALLY steep. gaper in question was talking about a 40-50 foot table top that msot certainly would hurt like hell to no land on the landing.

Rode up with two morans last weekend, one points the chair in front of us and says to the other "That guy's on a monoski" Reply "Cool, we should watch him ski". Guy ahead was rocking a hard boot carving board.

Man #2 "Oh yea I just need some extra cash flow right now."

"Huh well no ones gonna buy them, you trash all your shit. Why do you need extra cash anyways?"

    "That blows man"

^ yes this was a legit conversation
This is why you should lock your car and house in ski country.

Last time I was at Loveland a few years ago, a Mexican dude walks up to us as we're packing up in the lot with a shortish pair of beginner skis from probably the early 80s that were really beat and a pretty sweet looking pair of rear entry boots from the same era. I thought he was going to try to sell them, but, with some back and forth and hand signals, we figured out that he just wanted to have the stuff approved for his use. Looked like a nice guy. If I had the time, and was bored, I would have set him up with better stuff and taught him how to ski a little. The slopes need more working people on them.

    I will play.
Was behind two boarders at my local hill, on the chair up to our "expert terrain" and they saw the 'trip to stop' bar & the one dude says to the other "I will get the bar so we stop." then proceeds to aim straight for it, trips it just as I hop off of my chair shaking my head as the liftie pops out shaking his head to reset the bar.

The lady in front of me at 8:58 (lifts spin at 9) at the ticket window on a pow day at Magic - "so, what trails have been groomed." When the answer was "none," her flabbergasted response was "what do you mean? How will we get down?"

Talking to a young guy last week i met in town, he said he just got back from Japan where he hit up some back country stuff.
Me - "So did you skin or boot pack?"
Him - Stares at me blankly... "Skins?"
Me - "You know, the abrasive things you put on the bottom of your skis?"
    Him - "Oh i snowboard."
Me - "Oh sorry, so a split board then?"
Him - Stares at me blankly.
The conversation ended there, right after i asked him what avy gear he took with him and he said none. "Heaps of people were out there so it was all good."

Asian guy in rental car who ignored chains required sign on an especially icy day. He is halfway up the ski area road, halfway on the road, pointed uphill, trying to jack up the front of his car with the scissor jack so he can slide the chains on. I do give him credit for even having chains.

Car in front of me gradually slows.

    Then Stops.

The inevitably Asian driver gets out of car walks back to mine. Asks, "Excuse me where does this road go to?"

    WTF?
