    Haze review

Mouthpiece sticking from oil/wax use from only 1 session.....not good.

i just spent 250.00 + on one, plus accessories, so the unusable unit without the mouthpiece, is extremely disturbing. i sure hope they have a fix in the pipeline for everyone, not just beta testers.

After the lengthy and wasteful of raw wax learning curve, it is an awesome unit.

But, the mouthpiece sticking from resin in the bottom, and having to keep the mouthpiece separate, is a really big issue for me.

There are MULTIPLE other major quirks.

    1. Cannot turn unit off without closing draw tube area. In the middle of a session, i have to turn the heat to 1 light, to pause, without complete shutdown and disassembly ( draw tube gets stuck).

solution= needs one more push option on the button, to off.

    2. Battery compartment opens unexpectedly.

    3. Draw area opens unexpectedly.

    4. Carts are clumsy and look fragile after months of use. lots of parts to loose.

    5. Already broke one draw tube from being stuck and removing.

    6. multiple issues with draw tube being stick aft we cleaning and then only one session makes it stuck again.

    7. unit gets really hot to touch with oil, draw stays cool.

    8. can see a red wire inside unit from the cart area. Very surprising as the rest of the machine looks "Ferrari" perfect.

    9. Leaks oil. unless u use the smallest amount, it leaks and wastes. the cotton is good for thicker wax, but oil just bubbles out if the machine is tipped sideways.

10.......the fact that i had to write all this........

An almost 300 purchase.....i would have hoped it was not so half baked being able to buy it and looking so slick.

Try rotating clean draw pipe and wiping other down. Sounds like concentrates make it sticky - got 4 solid days on flowers and no stick issues. Still can dislodge draw tube with flick of wrist. Read somewhere that if you set it upside down, the stem is less likely to stick b/c it is not sitting in the resin built up at very bottom. Loading cans up with flower and swapping them out is awesome. Totally happy with it for dry use.

Eta - the option to turn off and wake up with push of button is great idea. With the sticking from concentrate it is no wonder you want to leave stem in place. I also cycle down to level one, then if not used it turns off after 60 seconds. Would be nice to wake it up by pushing button.

The more I use my DaVinci, the more I appreciate it. It's like a 'one hitter/bat' where you have everything you need. The storage is fairly big for multiple sessions, the battery lasts a decent amount of time, and it hits well. I ditched the draw tube so now it's even more compact.

Waiting for someone to come out with a vape that looks like one of those mini soda cans.

Ascent? I liked mine but it was getting funky with the charger connection - sold it for 175$ in like 5 min on eBay and it was used but in good shape. I can see what DB was saying about haze having issues with concentrates, but for dry this thing is money.

Haze replied. Apparently I have V1, they have a V2 and it seems all the issues are resolved with v2. We will see.

Is there any easy way to tell if it is one or two or they go off serial #?
Did they have an answer on battery door? I noticed this too, but when finally locked in it was fine.

Apparently if you can see the red wire? Not really sure.

The tip for the batteries looks huge as they are really expensive.

After a week using it I tend to agree with dB more and more. Been having same problem with stem, which can be fixed by iso/qtip, but is pia - one of the two bowls burns way too hot (like 500), even on setting 2 or 3 out of 4. Certain parts are very innovative (battery, dual bowls) but certainly has design flaws. I will probably dump this thing and go back to a arizer solo for its simplicity of use and cleaning.

You like the arizer? Seems like you need to keep three separate items...unit, glass tube, and the kind?

Shame to hear the negative reviews on the haze. Was looking at it as a possible upgrade from my mflb setup. I know there's a lot of hating on the mflb here but I'm a big fan of mine. It's stealthy, fits in a small camera case with a canister of pre-ground and with 4 batts charged up in the front pouch. Quick "one-hitter" like action which is just what I'm looking for. Guess I'll just stick with it for now.

With crappy snow I got all antsy and drive across the border. White widow phase 1, night cap of Sweet Tooth. Maybe a pinner of ChemDawg for breakfast..

Btw Glade I talked to the guy at golden leaf that worked on their bubble hash runs. He said despite the demand it's just not as economical to make. 1% or so yields he said, but he loves it too. May have some special runs from time to time.

100 % agree with your whole list now - I feel more duped by hype than fritschi vipecs. Mine is going back because in addition to your list, one of the bowls burns out of control on any temp - turns product black like coal - nf Bueno

Took your advice after haze debacle and grabbed this - only thing I would change is ditching the antenna for a small glass stem that racks in base like a stylus.

Totally agree with that. I don't even use mine anymore...partially because it fell apart and just the straw was left. This is a known issue and the new ones are better. I still am not a fan of plastic though, but they wanted to keep it flexible apparently. I just have the nipple on top and draw from that now.

Seems like solid and consistent vapor - what is up with power switch? Does it actually have to be on to charge? When I just plug it in when switched off there is no indication that it is charging unless you slide the power button to on.

Funny, same here. I don't know...it's goofy. I still flip it on just to double check and it's always charging. Then I flip it off and it charges completely. The good is you can use it while charging.
