Slight, intermitant snow on Cardigan today.
The sad truth is that whine does not age well
I saw pictures of people sliding on dust on man made crust from Stowe today. Apparently they've been blowing for 48 hours or so. I'm suprised there aren't any pictures on here??
Where are those FIS guys or vtski, isn't that your haunt? Winds are whipping around here with tons of branches all over the roads. Lets hope some of the snow is on the trails.
These folks never disappoint.
They did a smoking All Aboard.

Kept the skis at home yesterday and just did a solo hike (with the dog) up Hazelton to the top. ran into a snowboard crew that I know and they were making turns on lord/north slope.. looked like good coverage for only blowing for 48 hrs. Winds gusting to 45 at the top

Curiosity got the best of me yesterday so I headed to the local hill to see how much snow fell. Just enough for some fast grass and all told it was a fun time in the mountains.

Not that anyone cares about North Carolina, but the mountain picked up in excess of 22" along the NC/TN border. Two local ski hills, Catalochee and Sugar both opened after blowing Friday Night and picking up around 8" or so. What was strange was Columbia SC which is hotter and more temperate then even Charlotte, picked up around 3-4" by Saturday afternoon. Although I'm still full bore into the fall hunting season, with a quail trip this past Wednesday which had me sweating due to 80 degree temps, the temps sure did an about face quickly. Now I'm already thinking of skiing.

To the extent of my knowlege Catalochee opened 10/31 one year (2010? 2011?) and that's the earliest any of the NC resorts ever opened.
