Awesome news! Should help take the pressure off Stevens and Crystal, too.

FYI, there's a real nice skin track at West from the bottom of the carpet to the top of the quad right now. Set it this morning with a coworker before making a few dozen turns back to the bottom and heading into work.

There is nothing on the web sight. Is it a ski school only deal? I was planing on making a few skin laps there on Fri, I might have to go next door.

Baker is going to be awful this weekend. No one go there.
Common sense. So rare today in America it's almost like having a superpower.

Baker skied great yesterday and looks like it will be getting better over the weekend. Pow hounds will be out in hoards this weekend

Wish the pow was falling on the weekdays not the weekends

Stevens did not suck yesterday. With the totals predicted this weekend, both the mountain and Hwy 2 are going to be a shitshow. The Summit needs to open ASAP and re-direct the hordes back to I-90.

Just wondering how the timing of the warming before the cooling on Saturday AM will affect things. It'll be an excrement show no matter how you slice it. The pow starved hordes will descend en mass all over the Cascades. I suppose things will sort out around noon, as the Seahawks will siphon off some of the lesser pow fanatics...

Just stay safe out there folks.

Anyone dialed into Crystal scene, how much more until Northway starts to spin?

I mostly ski at Hood and I need a change of scenery …and some vertical!!

finally! my little rippers are excited for their first class of the year sat morning at Summit West. I hope I'm wrong but forecasts seem to indicate whatever falls today at Summit is going to get washed away tonight, tomorrow morning with rain? And the freeze solid to be dumped on? DOUBLE JINX

Xtal website says Northway will start spinning on Saturday. They also say that it will be windy Saturday early AM too...

My crew are in Skimasters at West and we just got notice they're preemptively cancelling the Saturday lessons based on the forecast.

Sorry to be a bearer of bad news. Sunday is still on for Skimasters, conditions permitting. At least there will be a few hundred fewer groms on the hill Saturday for those skiing with other schools. My 10-year-old is pumped. She's finally in the "Explorer" program that's supposed to be more about covering lots of terrain than the "follow me" ski train. Hope things don't get too washed out and there's plenty of terrain to cover Sunday.

Looks like rain/snow mix at Stevens and Snoq now, hope it does not get to shitty. Hope the freezing levels drop again as the front moves onshore, wet snow is better then rain.

Just drove over Stevens pass. It's snowing hard down to yodelin at the moment. Coverage is looking much better already, snow is heavy and sticky and crushing the slide alder and Christmas trees nicely.
