Lot of people out in the Bagley bowl area this past weekend. People setting unnecessarily steep skintracks everywhere, even when there's already one that you don't need risers on. The group that dropped in to the right of us and just before us made a sweet ski cut. Two dudes, one on top of the other, simul-cut the sun effected slope and ripped out a 40x40x1 slab(crown and stauchwall at their tracks,), then hacked their way down the rest of it. Thankfully noone was swept in it.

^^^^indeed, the level of retard in Bagley Bowl and surrounding environs was all-time yesterday. The "Hey Genius Bad Skintrack" skintrack was in fine form, with full-width zig zags going all over every slope that anyone might want to ski.

Finally got out both days this weekend with hop, his lady and a few others.

It was a bit busy on the lifts with questionable grooming, so we did this

Then we got hungry and had a backcountry squid snack brake before getting tracks #900, 901 and 902 out near artist point. Today we started out by slaying a skin track

Then hop went for the huck and totally stuck (in) the landing

We got hungry again, but instead of squid we noshed some little fishes and got properly hydrated

All in all a pretty fun weekend in the sun. There might have been a couple pow turns and spread eagles also, but without proper instagramming of the action you'll just have to take my word for it.

Tye Peak had more tracks on it yesterday than the arms of a 50 year-old smack junkie...

... still better than scraping the ice inside the ropes, though.

Lichtenberg Peak got schralped hard Saturday too. Used to be kind of a lesser known zone. Go figure. Apparently there's a new guidebook out by a certain Yuro expat with directions. Still managed to find great untracked though.

Stevens in-bounds was nice on Friday too.

I like the guy. Nothing personal. With all the snow south being so pinner it doesn't help to spread the crowds out much either.

Missus and I will be in the SEA area Thurs and will be looking for snow Fri-Sun... looking for some input for better (meaning road access, lift lines, snow) skiing... Baker? Crystal? something else?

we're looking for inbound pow... not a lot of experience with the lower altitudes and freezing levels etc... anyone have an idea for this weekend?

I'm sure my pictures above look familiar then, perhaps we met up there among the 40 people or so. Fortunately most people were busy riding the sun-baked SW face while I was enjoying a few laps of cold pow in the NE bowls. Plenty of lines to share. I'd hate to see what the Skyline Ridge area looked like though.

Looks like everywhere will be getting a nice fresh coat this week, but perhaps with rising snow levels especially on Friday. Crystal or Baker are generally better in those cases, but keep an eye on NWAC as it gets closer. Nice timing for your trip.

At this point, I don’t need a powder day, all I want is to be drinking beer in Lot 4.

At this point I'd settle for not being rained on.

Don't stress. The forecast is still 4 days out so there's only a 10% chance of 100% chance of rain.

Washington's got to be the only place where it can be 22 degrees and raining or 36 degrees and snowing.

Cool. Where did you hear that? I hope to bust out of the office and head up there for some skin laps this afternoon.
