Anyone have an idea how well they clean I90 and 390 in NY? Supposed to snow tomorrow. I have to drive 250 miles from Ontario to Woodhull, NY the pick up a subframe for my car. Driving my GF dad car... stress is high.

Can't comment on that specific stretch, but I've always been impressed with how good of a job they do on I90 between Syracuse and Albany. Looks like there's still a lot of uncertainty in snowfall amounts.

Dude.... I've actually never skied there!!!! Guess when you grow up in VERNON New Jersey, you don't bother leaving the township! That said, I'm game (as if you wouldn't have guessed) for nostalgia night! (even if it's not my nostalgia!)

    Right. Thanks!

Anyone else thinking of some early Turkey Day turns if (when) NVT gets some upslope?

90 should be fine, unless the lake effect machine turns on then just stay home. 390 for a ways out of Rochester is usually OK, not sure beyond Avon or so.

All this talk of NJ ski areas brings back very old memories of the once mighty (at least to a 12yr old local) Belle Mtn. MBB and TC are at least 2 that can attest to its former awesomeness.

Hope the upslope pistons fire on all cylinders tomorrow for everyone...still 3-4 weeks of rehab to go before I'm ready to enjoy any goodness but looking forward to seeing plenty of stoke to feed my jones!

Safe and happy turkey day to all!

I have family in Lambertville now. Came across Belle when I was perusing NELSAP one evening - looks like a fun little spot...immediately after a storm.

Born in Titusville on the river and lived in the area until 7 yrs ago, best place in the world to grow up imho. Fun local hill, albeit crowded and borderline dangerous at times. Some short but nice low angle hardwood runs if you knew where to go to escape the masses. Also, some sweet mtb trails that run off the south side and follow power line access for miles. Hopefully, somebody is still maintaining/cutting back the overgrowth every spring.

NoVT, where all the powder hungry Jersey'ites move to settle down!

Steady fat flakes falling here in the valley by the big lake for the last few hours, hope the cold air holds strong up high tomorrow.

Not anymore, although they have a few more trails that should come online. Not by yesterday, next Tuesday possibly if they can recoat after the rain quickly.

The first ^ comment cracked me up, thanks.

    The second is tragicly true.

Was up at 4:15 for a possible dawn patrol, not happening.

Currently 34.2` bob with 7/8" new snow and steady rain, no wind.

snowing supergood in the northlands now, sharting liquid on the city here. Time to make more coffee and mount up my skis and then wax skis and snowboards and wait for better days, for better days.

I90 will be fine as it is such a major highway. It takes 2"+/hour to really cause mayhem on that. 390 should be okay too. The storm did not deliver the snowfall that was forecasted and those areas should only see about an inch today with the bulk of their precip being over.

Ha, ha... might as well join the coming out party. (1st of 12 steps...) Former Delawarian (Jersey father) and Pocono skier... till age 12, too. Camelback, Big Boulder and Jack Frost used to look so huge.

    Happy T-day to all, too.

All of the cool transplants grew up in Connecticut. I see your Jack Frost and raise you a Mount Southington!

If you hear of someone in the Middlebury area poking his eyes out with a sharp stick because of the current weather you'll know where to send the authorities. Teh suckage.

I will see your CampGaw and raise you a Mt Peter

Mt Peter was the next step before the big bad Vernon Valley Great Gorge

Good to hear the changeover has happened up north ruddy, 36 and still lightly pissing liquid here.

BD - The first step is the hardest...maybe all the former Delval residents should have our own thread.
