I use mine year round [/companycarzerofucksgiven] (they actually kick ass for gravel and dirt roads too and that's why I don't mind them)

true that. on my old accord wagon I had a set of great Dunlop snows that I left on for the last 2 years, year round as I just couldn't like the idea of buying a whole set of all seasons with how well my snows rolled in the summer

I've been working rentals there for the last couple years while home on break, it's a funky place for sure, tons of fun. I can tell you not much has changed…ever. They still have the two main lifts going up the "big hill" (the one on the right has a mid station). They put a magic carpet out in front of the main building and an even smaller one tucked into the corner of the main slope, and they do tubing now as well.

The Mighty 'Gaw was the go-to snow day spot growing up since I grew up about 5 miles from it. So many awesome memories. I think the last time I skied it was in 95 or 96. Anyone up for a nostalgic evening mini at the Gaw this season?

Locked in for Friday at Stratton.

Since drinking may be the better option due to the weather, a PSA:
There is some good news on the right-coast, the 2013 Vintage Ale is in at TJ's.

Last year's was pretty nice and seems to be aging rather well. Got my case of 2013 at lunch today; cellaring it when I get home. If it is good, I probably get another...

The last 2009 is waiting for a vertical....
    Here is the 2013:

Weeknight after work sounds good. If the snow is worth driving a bit out of the way (and paying a toll ) on the way home I'm in.

    I don't like you.

Based on this, looks like N Vt will have 15 hours above freezing, only slightly above freezing but warm enough for rain. http://mag.ncep.noaa.gov/Imageanis.php

At least it continues precipitating for a while after that blue line moves East of us.

If only that damn blue line would track 100 miles to the East.

Ehh, don't worry about it. You're gonna get a fatbike so you can play in the snow properly close to home

ha! If I had skied that shit you hit at Jay I would be foaming at the mouth for more. Having been off my bike for 3 months and just getting back on now i'm phucking giddee about it. My heroin at the moment. Then again I played golf last week in FL and realized that I still like that too.

Come on snow! 'cause I hate skiing groomers

I'm hearing about some r-word hitting later this week. Any ideas if higher altitudes will fare better than the general forecast is indicating?

Hopefully somewhere in the Adirondacks, Greens or Whites will be spared.

Not looking too good atm: 1.usa.gov/1bmmyCY

Upslope on the backside could be the saving grace, however.
