6D arrived today! Need to upgrade past Lightroom 3 to use RAW apparently so these are JPEGS.
ISO 12800 on the 50 1.4 at f2.8. I dig it.

One bit of constructive criticism- I like how you kept the sign to give some context, & tell us where you were playing, but I think the shot would be better if you cropped out the recycle bin of beer cans. Either with a zoom or with lightroom, but I think you would have a much nicer image that way. But I do like the colors and it looks like a nice course to play.
Thanks Edgnar, but the trash can full of empties is the whole point (other than that French had his draw working and is trying to carry the pond with his drive).
I would move it to the MPC but Wiilbert has it in the bag.
Well with that attitude you definitely won't win :P
I would be curious to see the golf shot either with the focus on the empties or with them cropped out though.
Doggie stoke, really really wish I didn't blow the focus on this:
Blind husky. I cannot believe how well this dog handles not having eyes. He barely ever walks into anything:

Got up to Alta last saturday to make a few turns this past saturday, got a great sequence of my friend eating it on his first run.
Sunset while driving through the salt flats on I-80
Got to make it down to Lake Tahoe briefly, wish I could have spent more time shooting.
Comments and criticism welcome. Can't seem to make Flickr links work..anyone got an idea of what I am doing wrong?

In your photostream click on the picture. When the picture pops up full screen right click and it will give you a bunch of size options. Choose a size - usually medium or large and click on that. When that picture comes up right click then properties then copy location. Paste that link inside of the bracketed IMG /IMG or use the picture icon on the tgr editor.
I had a chance to take a little hike with the family and shoot a few shots with the 6D yesterday here in Moose. I have to say I am still lost running the thing but I am totally blown away by the sensor. So much more forgiving than what I am used to and I barely have to tweak the shots in Lightroom. No need to even touch up the saturation. Way higher keeper ratio. Crazy.

Skinned up Alta this morning, left the lot at 4:45ish and we decided to bail before making it to main chute sometime around 7:30 while it was still blowing pretty hard up there. Lighting was flat but plenty of pow to be had.

The alpine around here is doing pretty damn well for early November

Been doing something the last few months where I'll grab my camera, one lens and just go walk around for half an hour shooting whatever I see. Yesterday I had an afternoon in Sacramento to kill, so I went and walked around the State Capitol building. Here's a couple shots:

Thanks man! I get practically no feedback from people who know how to frame things and end up with photos as good as yours consistently are. Would you mind looking through my stuff and let me know what you like and what you don't?
Sure, I'll check 'em out. Don't have time this morning but a quick glance at your smugmug has a number of nice shots...

Antelope Island State Park...
Our little guy loved looking at the buffalo out there. He cried and cried and fought me big time when I tired to get him back in his car seat after this photo was taken. He kept saying thru his tears, "More Buff. More Buff..."

This is the worst pain EVER!
Finally got the 70-200 f2.8, what an awesome lens!
