MLB.com isn't carrying the ALCS live.

I have Infinity, so will look into that...

EDIT: Not looking good. Infinity is finite on what they stream and probably won't stream the ALCS.

The only way I know you can definitely do this, is via Slingbox. Anyone have and use one? Apparently, you can stream from your house to anywhere in the world.

    Guys,

Something came up and I cannot make it unfortunately. However I would like to cover my share of thecosts associated with this as I fucked up my dates. So let me know how much to send via PP and to who and it will be done. My apologies - I was really looking forward to chilling with y'all! Eat some pig and throw a few down and I will see you all this season.

FYI - Skirotica is out as he is dealing with a death in the fam unfortunately.

Lynchdogger - PMed you back about climbing - your inbox is full.

Regarding firewood, aren't people going to be cutting shit down on the mountain earlier that day? I'm going to Costco tomorrow, anything else that we need? I'm bringing the keg right? Or is that overkill? Just don't want to make this cost prohibitive. We've never been short on booze before, but certainly don't want to start.

I would think there will be lots of wood. As far as beer, a keg is always nice, but maybe not needed if Capt Awesome is bringing a bunch. People can bring some in their coolers as back up.

All should bring at least $10-$20 for the pig, etc. to reimburse Neufox/DoWork.

I saw a crazy thing this past summer, where someone took a solid chunk of log (not hollow), and cut a "hub and spoke" pattern in the top (a cut end) with a chainsaw, about 12 inches deep, and then stuck kindling in the "hub" to get things going. Once the fire was going, it basically burned out the middle of the log, and then burned down the middle. It worked really well.

I'll have about 20 gallons worth, but can easily get more if we need it. 15 gallons is a standard (1/2 barrel, approx 150 beers) keg, so if we've only got 30-40 people, that may be close. I can easily grab another sixtel (another 50-ish beers), unless someone else has plans to bring other beer.

Ok, I'm not going to grab a keg then. People will bring their own liquor and beer too. Now should I bring Scotch or Bourbon?

Super bummed. I'm stuck in Lansing, MI. And don't see getting back in any reasonable time.

If someone wants to grab the coffee and 'coal, I'll pony up a PayPal or hit you back this winter.

My worst year ever is almost over...so that's something...1/2 full and all that.
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

I'll bring coffee, milk and sugar in addition to the coffee maker and filters. My go to is an organic, estate grown Sumatran sold at BJs.

If you want to have coffee in the morning, you should bring a suitable drinking vessel (aka mug) for that purpose.

I've also got everything together for a huge batch of guacamole (15 avocados) and chips. I'm making the pico de gallo today and I'll mash it into the avocados tomorrow afternoon.

Or just wipe the parking lot grit off an empty Miller Lite can and filler-up.

I'm coming up tonight, will be at the workday tomorrow and can't wait for my first Ullr fest!

Is charcoal still in need, I can pick that up, how much of it and when is it needed?

I'm +1 for the event and we can chip in on food if all the pig is not spoken for.

    Yo mags...

I think we may have to call the Fest off. Unfortunately, it seems that the rain we hoped for is staying well south. I'm at a loss for words, but I'm sure you (and especially past attendees) understand.

PS- I'm getting my car washed now, so doing all I can to save it!

Damn, I just bought a few packs of Field Roast for the tragically vegetarian. Guess I'll just have to wait until we get some torrential rains and then go out and eat it huddled under a tarp to re-capture that lost Ullr-fest magic from years gone by.

Glad to hear it's cancelled. A dry Ullrfest isn't that enticing anyway.
