Stoked to see everyone loves the Tahoe region so much. I got a job at Squaw for the winter and have been looking at housing. Just wanted to sent out a bulletin if anyone is looking to get an apartment and needs a roommate i'm definitely in the market for a place, or to find a place with someone. I'm a 22 year old guy, just graduated college on the east coast at UVM. Definitely down for whatever, really open to anything people have in mind. Let me know if you're interested or need a roommate . Cheers.

My brother lived in employee housing for a season or two before he moved out with his GF. Very much a dirty frathouse atmosphere, but he had a good time. That was 2008-2010ish, and I think KSL is changing or has already changed things in that regard, but it'd be worth checking out.

You're coming out to Squaw just in time to enjoy it before KSL ruins the place. Anyway, check craigslist if you haven't already... there's usually some open rooms on there in advance of the upcoming season.

Really trying to get this as a real church organization. Is there anyone out there in tgr land that might be able to help me with setting up & real church.

TMRF - danke for the thread, please help with the following ...

Motion to strike the following from South Lake Snacky:
-Burger Lounge: the food there stinks now that it's under new ownership (this one still hurts)
-Brothers: well, it's on the list because it's cheap and the salsa ain't bad, but it also reinforces the stereotype of South Lake being a place full of degenerates and I wouldn't want anyone coming from out of town to actually go out of their way to go there. Not at all on the same level as the other joints on the list. (Sorry bodywhomper, nothing personal!)

Motion to add the following to South Lake Snacky:
-Thai Nakorn: Every bit as tasty as Orchid's, though there are more dining tables than there are actual parking spots
-Tahoe Keys Cafe: Nothing special about their coffee, but the breakfast burritos and smoothies are the bomb

^ Now did you move up here this year because Bill's has been cloned, creating the Golden Rotisserie option in Truckee...or was it the corny goodness of West Face?

Does Suddenlink serve Olympic Valley? That's the only alternative to ATT (damn their souls) in Truckee, except for satellite.

if Bill's has been cloned, what does that mean for T's?

i decided to move back as soon as i heard about the promise of Grand Camp at squaw (barf in mouth)...

SuddenLink is worthless over the holidays and on busy weekend in Truckee.

^ We don't seem to have that issue in Sierra Meadows. It's clearly a problem in Tahoe Donner.

And ATT goes out when it rains, or when it feels like. After weighing the alternatives we decided with heavy heart to stay with ATT. Maybe someday the TDPUD will revive their plan to offer TV/Internet/Phone.

Humbly refraining from making snarky comments about the B&T crowd f@#king up the interwebz for the locals in lieu of posting culinary and libatory stoke...

Hit this place up last evening and it's a winner. Their pilsner and white steam ale were both winners and the portobello fries were pretty damn bueno. It's in Reno, but worth the trip (plus it's in Midtown, which also boasts Chapel, Craft and the Reno Public House)
