Uh-oh, queue up the north vs. south lake debate. You can always tell when it's hot as shit way too early.

I knew I had seen that Squaw / Alpine map somewhere before! Thought it was interesting that Caldwell will allow the interconnect but still have a private resort on part of White Wolf. I assume Squaw will help him build it as part of the deal.

Hahah. I live under a bridge and eat babies. I mean billygoats. Don't feel too bad I still haven't met my niece and babies usually cry or poop on me giving me an unhealthy fear of the little ones which is augmented by memories of my dad pretending to be an Oompa Loompa and forcing me to watch willow fifty times in a row as punishment for taking acid when i was fifteen.

Commiserated we did. It was brutal. Anyone have any positive reports?

I was wrong. The wedding is at Northstar, and I'm at a Wine Bar right now. Good lawd. The ceremony is tomorrow at the Ritz-Carlton.

Where can we go for dinner; anywhere that isn't stupid fancy and expensive? We have rental cars and aren't afraid to drive?

I had a 12-pack if Oly yesterday. When did they make it orange?

Who is lapping mellow terrain at the Heave or KW tomorrow? I need to get some laps in on two planks, training for LBD and all.

For all you guys that just theorize about the conditions and don't actually ski, I will give you a squaw report. Bottom line it was fun. Everything was skiing well.
Headwall and CII were generally better than KT (probably cause of the breeze keeping things fast).
KT was pretty good , just a little sticky on the lower third but Tom's Tumble, Diagnol/Oly , Nose to Alternates, 75, Rock Garden, Dead Garden, Dead Tree were all skiing prime a mix of corn to softer snow to firmer snow (hard to describe the snow surface) all pretty good.
The only down side was a few wet snow slides on the West Face (nothing serious) and random pocket of mushiness (mostly near sun facing rock out crops) where you would sink in up to your knee in slop. All this to be expected, of course.

I may have to call BS. Are you telling us Squaw actually spun Cornice? I figured they had removed all of the gears at this point and it was just a pretend lift.

Yea it's good, not epic, but good. Warm sun, no crowds, all KT open (except race course). I would ski all day if I could, would not be sad.

Thanks for the beta T-Boz! I have decided to channel my inner jahroy and hit Squaw on a Saturday, and while I really don't want to be skiing corn in the middle of March, it beats sitting on my ass at home.

If you have time to ski, you should, not matter what the conditions are. Trust me, you may not always have the time.

I'll be around. Is 'the wall' in your mellow terrain category? I'm expecting it to have nice bumps.
