that's just plain stupid. lots of awesome jobs will care how you dress for an interview. It says very little about the workplace environment.

And Danno's a lawyer. Like he said - to a degree. i.e., caring that you wore a suit. not caring that the suit was perfectly crafted from silk made from pig scrotums.

It's just showing them that you will dress up if you need to, you respect the fact that they are taking the time to interview you, and they will surely understand that if you need to you will get some other suit. Nice suits and shitty suits don't bare much difference to the employer. He probably can't tell the difference anyway.
I've never been impressed by men's wearhouse. then again, i'm kind of a suit snob now that i've spent more than 5 minutes researching them.. ah, bespoke... i have a really hard time watching Bond movies now without studying the suits...

The owner does a great job, he helped me out quite a bit with a suit purchase a few years back. I would highly recommend his website if you need any men's dressy clothing. huge discounts on excellent high end clothing.

a nice wool/silk suit will look 100 times better than a crappy nylon/poly suit.

i love living on the west coast.

cut and fabric cannot be faked. Some styles never go out, so unless you have to have those super wide lapels, or double breasted when they're in style, you can buy one or two great suits and a blue sportscoat and call it a day for 20 years, unless you cant control your weight. An endorsement for local clothiers is that most will offer free alterations for as long as you own the garment.

this weekend we attended the funeral of my wife's grandmother and both of her brothers could not be bothered to change out of their jeans. I overheard a 13 year old girl tell her friends that they had "no respect". Mouths of babes.
