A whole other realm indeed--skied across a frozen echo lake with a 40mph tail wind and my jacket spread out like a flying squirrel suit. Exhilarating.

not hard to find if you go across the road, climb a few k and ski sup and variations there of after the suns been out the day before and a light refreeze has occurred. only rule is ya gotta ski it pre-resoftening. nice breakable crust. that'll learn the students right quick. now only if sup were steeper........

The point of it is to get better, and I honestly learned a lot from people who are more skilled than I ever will be, plus I had a fuckload of fun. Hard to say how that was a bad investment. Try not to shit on everyone's parade rog.

Trust your edges and keep your upperbody straight, angle at the hips. Don't lean into the mountain. That'll be $100 please.

I'd disagree with Vt-Freeheel. I don't think the body should be square to the falline generally speaking too much unless you want knee whip. This is not an absolute rule, but you should be able to go square or the direction your travelling (or rather the chest should be free to move whichever way it wants or needs to so you can play with gravity - (as inspired by Craig Kelly and Candide Thovex.)) Cheers and good luck. New vids and notes soon.
Now this is what skiing is all about.

thats some good fucking skiing. seriously great upper and lower body seperation, getting on edge early in the turn moving down the hill nad hand moving to the front(instead of being statically placed in front). People will probably lay a shit a storm on me and you for me saying that this is great but most maggots can not fucking ski, and they really just do not know it. and take the attitude that anyone who says other wise is wanker who never gets laid.

Today (don't ask me why), I went to Killington, and was skiing Outer Limits for a good part of the day on what was some of the hardest boilerplate I've ever encountered. Though I had blistering moments, I definitely had manly instances where the edges on my gotamas (yes, wrong skis for the day) started to come out from underneath, or I struggled to get any rhythm in the bumps on lower Ovation that had been rutted, scraped and shaped by a bunch of holiday turners.

I have moments where I feel like an all star (that's why they call it hero snow), but being able to ski the worst conditions with grace- can be hit or miss. How do you guys handle those days? Ever feel like you're getting your ass kicked?

I kept wishing that I had a resource on how to ski that with a bit more grace. It's not too bad if you shut it down, but I know there are skiers on here that can ski in those conditions with skill. I found myself asking...why doesn't anyone ever talk technique on the forum. It's loaded with good skiers (albeit, I think there is a lot of hyping up of skill on here).

Just my thought for the da.

if you have a thursday.friday you can come to stowe, Ill coach you for free, the only catch is you got to post up the results on here.

I can do it for free via video.

ski shit or be shit. those people who only ski hero snow will always suck at skiing.

The Skull/Bushwack beef enters it's 4th thread by my count. Ski-off or GTFO.

In other news, better EC groomer ski: Lotus 138 202, or Praxis Powder 200s?

Please, call me M.T. Get it? M.T.=Empty=Empty Skull? Jesus you're a dumbfuck.
    Anton Gliders though, funneh.

I stand to gain nothing from a ski-off or posting video of myself skiing. I'm perfectly confident I'm a better skier than you, and you've already proven you're lacking in skill and uncoachabe. I'm just here to call you on your own bullshit, and you keep falling for it.

Nope, just you. It looks like Willie might actually know how to ski, and probably doesn't give a fuck what you think of his technique, like most here.

that's not me - I took the pics. That's my buddy Randy, one of the stronger skiers I know. I had to ski the same slope though, and made it without falling.

There aren't many pics of me skiing out there as few of my buds carry cameras and none focus on photography like I do.
