I'll make it 4 in a row with some random from-the-car shots from the lac this summer

if any of you go postal and head to QC searching for snow, this site will be handy, switch it to "neige au sol" to see what's on the ground. pretty pathetic south of the st-larry

thanks man, no worries, we'll just wing it. Plan is to load up the mini van with skis and kokanees, cross the border before a huge snow storm rolls in, battle the QC drivers on I-20, ski du sud, massif, valinouet then proabbly get kicked out of a few bars in the old city.

I ski to slow ML to be a part of the K-ton thing.

Anyone comes up this way over the winter though, I enjoy making skin tracks, the dog is trained to not shit in them, and don't mind dishing out first tracks to people.

VTF/ML/whoever, i will not be at the mini, though i am sure it will be a good time, regardless of the color of the ground, have fun all. might be in the cats for the weekend though. also- if anyone has any montreal tips, they would be appreciated- i heard about some portuguese chicken place that sounded pretty righteous.

Hoping to get back to that hill past the big house and few small cabins sometime this winter.... And maybe some other stuff in the area, it's intrigued me greatly. Wanted to get back up there last winter, but we all know how that went.

Not sure about the mini yet, might be skiin with the family this wkend.

Lynchy and all, sending my regrets. The noose just got tighter... wife called all excited... something about a "big surprise" Sunday afternoon. This better not be a visit w/ Santa! (But if she's going be his little helper, then that's another story.)

good plan, border rendezvous sounds good, never had enoug snow last year to fill in the ledges right, .

we'll be shooting potato guns and hopefully jumping the snow machines in Caledonia County for NYE. I will be at Owl's Cranium for some Tues powder days too, we'll figure it out.

Do Work/Lynchy - I have a K 2fer that I can send either of you if you want it. It has my name on it so I don't know how militant they are about checking ID but it's worth a try I guess. Shoot me a pm with your addy and I will send it.

Just started snowing in BTV. Starting to stick the ground, hopefully the snow showers fill in around the mountains too.

Hoping the system coming thru on Sun/Mon actually drops some accumulating snowfall! Yew!!!

Not sure what I'm doing New Years but may go touring up in the ADK's. No ice for me yet still want 1 more rock day. Spent a lot time in Southern dacks and getting on new climbs this summer went by too fast! how was your summer? Had a little set back during hurricane sandy no power for 12 days and had 9, 60 foot pine trees come down, 5 were in the driveway. Got a good workout with the chainsaw though.

What's going this weekend at killington? Is there snow on the way and lift ticket deals? I hope we can hook up and get rowdy soon! cheers bro

    NTN/DPS Demo @ Sugarloaf Dec 15th

I know there are a lot of people that want to try NTN and DPS skis (there will be alpine demos too) and I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that we're hosting an informal "out the back of a van ghetto demo" in the parking lot at Sugarloaf.

    here's the lowdown:

How does this all work? This part is very important so please read it thoroughly. We will be accepting reservations to make sure everyone gets a chance to try the gear they want. To reserve gear, email chris at allspeed dot com PRIOR to December 15th and we will schedule a time for you to demo. We are not 100% sure where we will park the van yet, but we will send out an update on Dec 14th with a contact phone number you can call with any questions or to make last minute reservations.

Now to the fun stuff; what will be available for demo:

    Telemark Setups

+NTN Boot + Binding + Ski combos (we will have both Freeride & Freedom NTN bindings available for demo).
    +Blizzard Kabookie (173, 180)
    +Black Crows Corvus (176, 185)
    +Black Crows Camox (177)
    +Black Crows Nocta (188)
    +Volkl Nunataq (178)
    +DPS Wailer 99 Hybrid w/ Hammerhead Bindings (176, 184)
    +DPS Wailer 112 w/ Hammerhead Bindings (176, 184)

    Alpine/Fixed Heel Setups

    +Blizzard Kabookie (173, 180)
    +Black Crows Corvus (176, 185)
    +Black Crows Camox (177)
    +Black Crows Nocta (188)
    +Volkl Nunataq (178)
    +DPS Wailer 99 Hybrid (168, 176, 184)
    +DPS Wailer 99 Pure (192)
    +DPS Wailer 112RP Pure (178)
    +DPS Wailer 112RP Hybrid (184)
    +DPS Cassair Pure (178)

Again, to make reservations, please email chris at allspeed dot com and we will confirm a time and get you out on some great gear!

Won't be able to get to K for the weekend, I'd be nice to meet some of you. Probably be there sometime during the week, especially if we get snow. I think this link still works if anyone needs 2 fers.

QFT. That place is unbelievable. They've even banned snowblades.

Anyone have more info on Valinouet? Been wanting to push a bit further up the north side of the seaway next time I head up, and that might be the way to go.
