Sorry to interrupt the shit slinging, but does anyone know of any places in/around the Magic area that rent clothing in addition to equipment? We're bringing some city-slickers up around the holidays to try some skiing at Magic, but they literally do not own anything. I seem to remember Dunnett's (behind Totem Pole in Ludlow) had some, but I don't know for sure (going to try calling them later today).

Also, shoutout to my awesome girlfriend who got me a sweet hanukkah/christmas present:

Excuse = skinning up Stratton/Strapon/Flatton through noon, then rockin' toddler party in the afternoon at a local museum.

And yes, Stratton is super friendly toward skinning, even during operational hours. Although the downhill traffic is pretty intense on weekends, by taking Old Log Road > Drifter Link > Lower West Meadow > Upper West Meadow > Mike's Way, the only moments of terror on my skin route are not for the skinner but instead for the many lower-level skiers coping poorly with the "snow" conditions. (This past Sunday I saw several skiers give up and revert to walking...)

Now when are we going to have some real snow for real skinning? Over 92k vert so far mainly in lycra on rando race gear is preserving my fitness yet rapidly eroding my remaining sanity...

here's what we got in MTL.. glazed and crunchy for sure and probably takes more new snow than grass to be good skiing. still nice to see some frozen stuff but it sure slicks up the path to da beach
