best shot for skiing would be Wolf Creek or CB imo...favorable flow and higher elevations.

Winter Storm Watch 4-8" for Vail area

I'm betting they'll see 2" at PHQ, rain/sleet at the base. 1" for Summit County.

Having to depend on a wrap around flow is normally a bad thing, however the overall flow will shift to NWerly for awhile. I don't see it as a big snow producer but maybe a little. If it isn't gonna keep snowing, I hope whatever does fall melts.

I hope it just keeps snowing. One 8" dump a week from now to Thanksgiving.

another warm day up here. More wind today than yesterday so far and we had a wicked thunderstorm roll through about 12:30/1. A cool down will be nice this weekend.

about 30 seconds of rain/snow at 9600 in summit county last night, some rain today and a bunch of fog, but ive had more snow in my nose some nights than this storm thus far.
Do I detect a lot of anger flowing around this place? Kind of like a pubescent volatility, some angst, a lot of I'm-sixteen-and-angry-at-my-father syndrome?

    fuck that noise.

Had a nice little rain in Breckenridge this afternoon with what looks to be a trace of snow on the peaks. Looking forward to more snow later tonight/tomorrow morning.

34 degrees this morning at 8k.....more rain during the night than I thought we'd see. Could be some good snow above 9k. Some light snow at my house and Vail proper has snow on the ground. Feels GOOD.

Light non-sticking snow in Eagle-Vail as of this minute. Plus about 2" of leaves on the ground.

38 and rain tonight at the house. Storm was just too warm to have a huge impact below 10k.

    ^^ nice work!

I took a stroll on the Divide from Berthoud to Stanley today...cornices forming on the leeward side, pretty good coverage on the west side of the divide north of Berthoud and Indian Peaks looked very white.
Felt amazing to feel powdery snow under my feet and nice cold air.

ripping winds since 5 pm in summit county, snow since 10 pm.

if you know where to look you just might find a few turns along some tree lines. if you don't mind the rocks.

We lost power for a few hours last night. Big winds. Rain and then snow. First measurable amount of snow on the deck this morning. Just under one inch.

We didn't lose power, but the winds were ridiculous last night. Brushed about 2" off my truck this morning. Woot!
