You could only be ill informed because you choose to be. How many fucking times does everyone have to suggest clubs for you for fucks sake? Also, what a dumb question. Can you improve your skills with game improvement irons? Did you not get better at Fucking your son after practicing on that box of eclairs?
Christ Guroo..that was brutal yet funny. That "VAS" was the same bullshit that was in my first pair of Rossi 4S in 1986!!

Spook..throw down the plastic and get fitted for a kick ass set of clubs you puss. Its abvious you going places in golf and taking this shit seriously. You will be pissed because you bought a set of "forgiving irons" cuz you will outplay them in 6 months.

On another note I shot yet another 37...one over, at my local dog track. Fuck I cant par this place if my life depended on it.

Played in a member/guest this past weekend...first class event (Robert Trent Jones, Jr. course). 72 teams across 12 flights. My buddy and I ended up winning our flight, getting our $$$ back. In the horse-race at the end, we played a modified alternate shot (both tee off, choose best shot, alternate shot from there). I was dead center, longest off the tee of any group. My buddy hit a pure 8-iron into the green (everyone else was hitting long-irons), with a bit too much draw. He ended up green-side bunker, pin-high. I underestimated how wet the sand was (it had just rained), and i skulled my shot over the green...tourney over - crushing.

In the end, we won a bit over $2k...made our money back. We basically ate and drank our faces off (we only lost one match, and that is when we were blacked-out), played 64 holes on a first-rate track in three days, and had a blast. I call that a win-win-win.

Guroo maybe chill on the harsh insults? This is a golf thread, we all love playing the game, no matter how fucking stupid our questions are. If you don't want to suggest clubs after the fifth request for ideas, don't, but maybe just let it go at that?
A moderator asking someone to tone it down on TGR? I thought that's why we all ended up here... Besides, I was just trying to make him giggle.

Glad you enjoyed the pic, and it probably would have been way more classic had I really suggested it, but there's no way he can believe I wish anything but harm on him at this point. This is a thread about golf stoke and hooking up to do golf related things, not to reiterate stupid jong ass fucking questions over and over again as if no one had tried to help him in the first place. If you look at our earlier conversations between spook and myself, you'd see that I offered suggestions such as the ping eye 2, the ping eye 3, or a couple other sets completely amicably, in ernest. But he just keeps asking the same fucking questions, over and over again. It's like he pleads for help aimlessly and doesn't heed any advice, and then says he's going to go to a fitting shop to find out what he needs, only to order it on the internet (arguably the scourge of the many good folks here on TGR), to escape paying a premium or helping out the local economy. Not to mention he wants to do this after traveling the globe supposedly spending a month or two in Equador?

Also, fix the app or offer a true ignore, and none of this would be an issue.

On a side note, shouldn't he have started a thread about golf advice as opposed to splooging all over the golf stoke/meet up thread? He could ask all the dumbass redundant questions he wants in there, and I'd honestly respond to the people that don't post the same question over and over.

The Alien works wonders. Gets the ball up and out every time. Hit one twice and just said, I can't put that in my bag. Do they conform to USGA rules? You can pound the sand and it won't go too deep, pops the ball right up and tends to land soft.

Glad someone here got the sand out of their vagina. I don't really think he fucks his son. There's no chance he's had sex ever in his life, so no chance to procreate.

Game improvement are going to be pretty much anything not forged. There are different variations of GI irons. Ping's G line is very GI geared toward higher handicaps and their I line not as GI and is more for lower handicaps. Even though I don't play them anymore, I think that Ping makes the best overall clubs. Best fitting system and most customization available. If you're serious, get a real fitting outdoors on a range.

    Guroo-
no, not a mod request, but as the 20-index hack that started the thread. I understand the rest, just hoping we can try to get away from the slams. Giving shit, however, is required...

you are making a good point about threads which makes me wonder if Blurred's idea of a golf sub-forum might not be a bad idea, who knows...

It's been pretty dry in the NW lately... was walking 9 last week and this dry creekbed splits the #7 par five. We started noticing smoke and by the time we came up to it there were actually some pretty good flames coming up. It was a pretty empty day and I guess no one had noticed yet. Stupidly I sprinted 2 holes over to the clubhouse and let them know before pulling out the camera but it was still smoking a little by the time I got it out. They were pretty smart about it too, just turned on the sprinklers and watched it for a while.
there were multiple grass fires out by heron lakes in portland, too.

you are too funny, dude. your advice was disregarded almost immediately because 1) you were the only one giving that advice, and 2) your cumulative performance here at tgr made it clear that you are not somebody i would take advice from. your reaction to my posts is a tad dramatic, don't you think? seriously. of all the shit on the board, i really doubt my questions are that much of an inconvenience to ignore if you're not interested. 98% of the shit you post is worthless as far as i'm concerned. you don't hear me freaking out about it.

i didn't ignore everybody else's previous advice -- i've actually got a fair amount of it written down -- but i have also learned more since then and had other questions (no, the questions are not the same) i certainly didn't get the impression that this thread was for meet-ups and stoke only. you and skiballs have been the two biggest dicks i've encountered anywhere by far -- stores, other forums, the course, etc. believe it or not, some people actually do enjoy talking about golf with a beginner. as noted, i try to get as many opinions as possible and use that to help inform my ultimate decision.

and please, local economy? you must be joking. i doubt the "local" national corporations are doing much for the local economy -- those tax breaks are good for jobs, though!! and craigslist is also the local economy, dumbfuck.

and yes, it does make me giggle that i can't post anywhere without you crawling out of your hole. at the same time, i have to shake my head because you sound like you're trying hard to sound like something you're not -- a 25 year old punk talking shit. instead you sound like a bitter old fuck who doesn't have much to say about anything. so keep it up, dude. i'm sure that you'll find more folks who "got the sand out of their vagina."

Golf stoke. No one needs to re read this thread more than you who shall not be named. The first fucking post says a thread for golfers to cross paths, compare notes, join up, critique the blurred chronicles - fore! And give Das blunt shit.

There's a new thread for every major, make your own thread for advice or take it to tech talk you Jong of jongs. Or go to golfwrx or whatever it's called. If they told you to get lost, take a hint.

First pic is of the Golden Bear watching his son play golf at the USAM, the second is of the Golden Bear coming out of a portapotty, after MoFo said he should take a piss next to the guy, and I said a golden shower next to the golden bear would be epic, but another dude ran into the stall...

MoFo with Beau Hossler, the U.S. Open stud. We waited a few mins for him to finish one of the most awkward interviews ever in a random abandoned corner of the starters box. I kept expecting spook to pop out and say, "Who? What? When? Where? I wasn't doing anything!" Only to have some 4 year old crawl out of the corner.

4th pic is of a 227 yard par 3. You really wanted to hit a high draw at the very right side of the green and have it drift. No chance at the pin. A solid shot right at the pin would have bounced ten yards over and you'd be dead.

Last shot is of the ankle deep rough, which was fairly more and more difficult/neglected by the gardeners the more off line you were.

Today I tied my personal best score for 9 holes (42) BUT this 42 was on a much harder rated course than my previous 42 was. If I would have had enough daylight, I had a legit chance to break 90 for the first time ever for 18 holes.

I'm finally starting to see consistent improvement and it's fucking awesome... wish I would have started to take this game seriously and actually make an effort to get better a long time ago instead of just treating it as an excuse to get wasted and whack some balls around a few times per summer while I'm waiting for it to snow.

so you like that tgr is moderation-free so you can say whatever you want (to the point a moderator actually says something) except when someone you don't want to hear from says something you don't want to hear.

i believe my questions fall safely within the realm of an ordinary interpretation of "compare notes." nonetheless, after sufficient discontent from more respectable posters, i toned it down from asking numerous open-ended questions several weeks ago. that doesn't mean i'm never going to ask another specific question, for instance, about GII, and two models. i don't think the internet will run out of room.

although i have been there several times, the golfwrx bit was a joke, you know, because "everybody" here finds me so fucking annoying.

    edit:

seriously, guroo. have a little self-respect. blurred already has this gig and it's only funny enough for one to beat to death. let's see you venture forth on your own with a little creativity. quit following people around spacially and intellectually. followers never make the right kind of history.

Golfwrx has good info and by going to google and typing in:

    site:www.golfwrx.com/forums [type your question here]

I have yet to find a topic that hasn't been discussed there regarding everything from info on literally any club ever, to the tour preferred ball marker/socks/chafing prevention method

In the end, we won a bit over $2k...made our money back. We basically ate and drank our faces off (we only lost one match, and that is when we were blacked-out), played 64 holes on a first-rate track in three days, and had a blast. I call that a win-win-win.
Cool, love the 3 day member guests, just have the IV ready when it's over. Had a similiar experience a few years ago, made it to shootout after winning flight - my member who hadn't missed a fairway all 3 days yanks it behind a tree, I'm left trying a judy rankin punch out and around with a full gallery... ugh.. hah. One more event for me in a week. Trying to rest up for it now.... assembling all the necessary tricks for the upcoming debauchery, cigars, check, party bags, check, family out of town, check, now where's the IV?

Where are all the NY Metro Mag golfers?
