First off, I think I've admitted that I knew I was manipulating an open line to get ahead of others who were not smart/rude/ballsy enough to exploit the line opening. I did it, plain and simple and it was a douche fucking move. I was using a shortcut to get ahead of people, there's no denying it. I knew people may not be happy about it, but I figured "hey, I could call out single and duck a rope like all these other people or I could skate into this line and wait until someone was going to single load the chair and pair up with them." If you don't ski at Alta, I invite you to witness that practice. People ski up, yell "single" and duck the fucking rope. Still regardless, I was in the wrong. I will own up to that. Nothing is more stupid than letting a empty seat go to waste on a chair, it happens all the time and it's bullshit to call courtesy out and let it happen.

As for JMedSlc, you've been a member of this forum since 2006. How come you never post any stoke?

I will only agree to stay back a grade if it's the same grade you are in.

I've yet to see a picture or TR or video or shit from you actually contributing to this community other than trying to bump threads to sell your old skis or your awesome jacket.

We're glad you love it here, really, but try keeping your eyes open and your mouth shut for a while, go ski and have fun, and you don't need the Go Pro to do it. We've all been told the same thing at one time or another, except the GoPro part.

That is why I said it happens everywhere. There are always assholes...the choice is to be one or not. Ideally, no one is an asshole, but that will never happen. Ideally, no one reacts to the assholes the way JW did...but that will never happen. On pow days, everyone is amped, everyone is ready to charge, and tempers flare...it can be avoided by not being an asshole, and just waiting like everyone else.

If the excuse is "other people were doing it"...well, fuck people that think that way...

Dude you really dont get it. Anywhere else and people would just go in whatever line was closest to where they were coming from and no one would be considered an asshole. Only at alta are you considered an asshole for coloring outside the lines and not fitting it. If everyone ther wasnt fuckign stupid both lines would be full and no one would be butthurt. Thats why this doesnt happen at anywehre but alta, cus alta is fucking strange and gets off on having unsigned open lift lines that no one is allowed into, fucking conformist nonsense.
