I too have seen more aggravated people at Alta this year...low snow year and all its a mad rush for the pow when it falls..

If I read right, that all happened Friday, yes? If so, I was up there that afternoon and Wildcat was dead. You could ski on and fresh tracks were still to be had. Go figure. And here I thought the aggro dirtbags in the tram line at Big Sky were bad.

I totally agree with Leroy and Blurred on this incident.

The only two times I've given someone shit in a lift line:
1. Me: "Hey, you've let 5 groups of 3 go by. This is a quad and this is the singles line. Are you planning on going?"
Gaper: "You should try relaxing. It is way better than being in a hurry."
Me: "You should try skiing pow. It is way better than standing in line."

2. Someone kept pushing through the singles line, then shoving and skating over peoples skis because he'd see spot 20-30 people ahead. After seeing him do it 3 laps, I decided to give him a little shit. "Hey, how many people do you think you can cut off shoving your way through this time?"
As I figured, he wasn't really efficient, just a douche, and he lost it. He started screaming at me for questioning him, then got into a long screaming match with the lifty who told him to stow that shit. He spent more time yelling at people than he'd saved all 3 laps by cutting. He was still yelling at a patroller when we got on the lift.

I took that same lift while I was there and I actually came in the same way you did but did it switch. Right there everyone knew I was core and didn't say shit ! I then proceeded to stomp some dudes skis cause he wasn't wearing the proper tinted lens in his goggles for that particular overcast day. Man, people are dumb

I am confused. I am not familiar with this lift, but I can clearly see from the video that there are two entrances open here (and a ski school line).
Why isn't anyone else using the lift entrance on the uphill side? It looks perfectly fine to me. Just because the other people there are too ignorant or lazy to skate over there doesn't mean that it's not available.

Yup, same thing at Sherwood at Alpine Meadows. There's 2 sides to get in and 90% use one side cuz of the run they choose to approach the lift. If you're not smart enough to take advantage of it then it's your loss. Aggro dude is just clearly jealous and a mega asshole who fails at life.

Not only did he hit a guest on video but then melted down on FB in epic fashion to top it off. What is it about the internet that makes people dig holes they can never climb out of. For his kids sake, I hope his boss is cool and can just convince hime to attend some anger management to placate the public. Sorry guys, as I was reading this thread and my cellphone rang. The call is in per Alta Management, the video was requested to be taken down. It is my choice and out of respect for management, clientele and an excellent ski area that I enjoy skiing, the video is deleted from Youtube.

I know I will suffer swift judgement and criticism over this action, but I feel it is the right thing to do. I stand firm in my decision. Thank you all for realizing the whole point of this matter. We all as sportsmen need to tighten up our conduct and not rage on people. Not saying people here do that, but others do and hopefully they saw this video and it reminded them to keep in check.
