Glad to see I'm not the only one out there complaining about the punters. Hypocrite.

Peters and I found some good areas this weekend. It took some work to get there though.

    Where is that? Kicking Horse?

I was at SSV on Saturday, and the snow was fairly epic. Was able to get in a couple runs in morning under Tee Pee chair, and the pow seemed bottomless in some spots. Me and my buddy just had tons of fun. The wind was a bit much in the chair, and then they closed down Angel & Divide after lunch. Spent the rest of the day on Goat's Eye which was pretty good too.

Anyone else made it to SSV or Lake Louise this weekend? Share your stories.

I guess I put this in the wrong thread. It was at Rogers.

You complain about people based on where they come from, not a person's actual actions.

If someone is acting like a punter on Facebook or wherever, you too can make fun of them. Like we make fun of you when many of us ski together.

I gota try that stretching stuff....probably wouldn't have screwed up my abductor again yesterday.
Unfortunately due to that and work I will likely have to sit this storm cycle out.
    Off to Castle/Fernie Friday.

Kicking Horse was great today. If you thought there were no line-ups yesterday, I'm not sure what you'd think about today. Snow was super-heavy (for KH at least), perfect day for going big.

Tomahawked on landing on a cliff that's known to do that to me, and decided to call it a day.

To the Scandi that decided to side-slip the first 20 feet of Coffin straightline and ruin it for everyone else, people saw, people are pissed, people remember. Just sayin.....
Flying the Bluehouse colors in Western Canada! Let me know if you want some rad skis!!

agreed. Hells kitchen & free fall were in good shape early. No WW for you? I scored first group through the gate and down Peytos. Wheelers stayed in good shape for a couple laps as well.

You refer to basically everyone who comes there from out of town punters, where I was specifically talking about a few select individuals who were saying very specific punter things.

Alot of great views today LMFAO.

A 30 second strategy conversation on top of the platter to get away from the lemmings all waiting for Whitehorn to open turned in to hitting other openings right when they dropped the ropes. Fucking epic.

Fair enough, I agree with you there, although you seem to have made me change my tune as of late.

On another note to all, the pass did not suck today. Grizzly Shoulder was deeeeep. Puking all day today too. I suggest everyone pull the plug on everything and head out there if you want a great ski. Play safe.

Help me win a photo/story contest

I entered a contest on Backcountry Skiing and need your help to beat out the west coast and interior crowd.

You can see the post at: http://backcountryskiingcanada.com/f...mp-perspective

It features some sick skiing by local mex and other anonymous tgr users.

If you like it, vote for it by making a comment about "PERSPECTIVE" on their facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/BackcountrySkiingCanada

T2C, you nailed it. People get focused on one rope, waiting for it to drop. Meanwhile you can get first tracks all over, then get back after the Chinese Downhill has departed and still find a fresh line.

Banff areas are defiantly winning this storm. But glad the precip finally moved southwest into B.C. to get us back to powder. About 25 cm during the day, might be good tomorrow before a heat wave arrives on Thursday.

Hey Eldo, do you ever ski at Panorama? My wife and I each have a free day pass to use there, and will be down there at some point before they close.

On another note to all, the pass did not suck today. Grizzly Shoulder was deeeeep. Puking all day today too. I suggest everyone pull the plug on everything and head out there if you want a great ski. Play safe.
Definately will head to the pass once it stops epic-ing locally here.

Usually ski Pano a couple times a season, although not so far this winter as have been busy exploring my new home hill.

I actually know Panorama inside out as have skied there going back to the 70s on family vacations. This time of the year you will want to make sure to either catch it when there has been recent snowfall, so winter snow, or go when the forecast is full on spring skiing.

Let me know when/if you are headed there and I can meet you guys. I know for sure I'll get a day or two in since Kimberley closes on April 8 th and Panorama goes to the 15th.

. I picked the wrong weekend/week to work. Cursing the false oracle of snowforecast.com as I obsessively check web cams all day long and kick my self... Should have known better. Must repent for my sins to the GSA
Have fun folks. Maybe I'll find some table scrap stashes when I get back out there on friday.

still having back issues, and my lower leg is going numb. Need to limit my time on snow and reduce "twisting and compression" So longer turn, no air, and leave as it gets tracked.

nice work on the WW, looked fun

I suppose going for a float down goats eye isnt bad rehab.
