As the spring thaw approaches, the Gaper Spirit Animal begins to molt in anticipation of warmer temperatures and possible migration. His SteepTech skin will no longer be needed in warmer climes; a simple black shell will suffice. This is the time of year when GSA's training is paramount; he cannot take the chance steezy outerwear will attract undue attention from the opposite sex and distract him from his Stairmaster rituals. His shovel-like exoskeleton disappears as well, the reasons for this are unclear given the inhospitable environs of Alaska, GSA's spiritual homeland.

With all of this GSA information someone should plot a map with The dates, times, locations, and snow conditions that occurred during his sightings, maybe then it will be possible to map his pilgrimage to Alaska.
A logical guess is Revelstoke, people with many go pros love flocking there.

    Alright everyone, Hymnals up..

    and-a-one and-a-two and-a...

And he will lead the way, with dual gopros,
Film you as you shred the gnar.
Make you to look, like a star
And then stand there, with a toe... in the air...

You who dwell in the shadow of the mtns,
who depend on their tips for life...
say to the gaper, "my Refuge,
Whose wallet in Whom I Trust."

And he will lead the way with dual gopros,
Film you as you shred the gnar.
Make you to look, like a star
And then stand there, with a toe... in the air...

The fit of your harness, will never crush your nuts
And Torn Knees will bring no fear
    Under his Steeptech your refuge
    His gaperness, your shield

And he will lead the way with dual gopros,
Film you as you shred the gnar.
Make you to look, like a star
And then stand there, with a toe... in the air...

    And then stand there
    with a toe...
    in the air...

Damn it, I was on Whistler today and didn't see him. Didn't cross my mind to check the gnar of Franz's chair though, was expecting to see him pole whacking the couloir or cirque entrances. Will be back Monday and Tues and on the lookout.

Awesome work neuro and clownshoe. Haha, filming him with a pocket POV, that is dedication, 5000 points for you.

Does anybody else feel like the GSA's unicorn sidekick needs a name. I'm thinking "Chuck"...

Wouldn't the GSA Unicorn have GoPros mounted on his corn? I would love for the venerable Michelangelos of TGR photoshop to amend this portrait of our leader.

rip - that theme song really portrays the pure spirit of this thread and has the perfect ethereal feel.
So many astounded believers fortunate enough to capture the GSA's essence during his manifestations.

Clearly, his hand was trembling as he took this very rare photograph.

Some more GSA prose for your pleasure

When it is enlightenment you seek
Your dress must not be meek
    No matter where you go
You will have footage to show

You should train in your gear
Even if the mountains are not near.
    Prepare for the gnar
    A glacier is never far

    For me do no scorn
For in the spring I will ski some corn
I am in the company of a unicorn
and I make my own ski porn

I like to ski the west
Duke bindings are not the best

    From the Extremely Canadian website:

Our clinics offer the adventurous skier two days of expert Extremely Canadian guiding, lift line priority, a guaranteed improvement in your steep skiing skills, and our infamous après-ski decompression session at Merlin’s bar and grill. We’ll supply the beer and nachos; you supply the super-hero ski stories from the past two days.
Sunday night at Merlins? (also suggesting that they will be on Blackcomb in at least the afternoon on Sunday. Oh to be there for the "super hero stories"...

This guy's brother, or follower, or something, was at Mt. Rose yesterday. No pics unfortunately: guy in bright red one-piece, snowboarder, wearing an airbag pack... inbounds (Mt. Rose has no sidecountry or backcountry access)... on a 40-45* F day where absolutely nothing is going to slide.

Never seen someone wearing an airbag pack inbounds before, much less on a spring corn day.

I think this thread is a perfect example of the wonderful things that can happen within the confines of internet fora. TGR, as a forum, should be proud of the work accomplished here. Well done guys, and I eagerly await the next development in the story.

I will keep my eyes peeled over here in Chamonix, naturally, but I don't hold much hope of a sighting.

To be fair, you see literally hundreds of people like this every time there is fresh snow in Les Houches, Chamonix valley, bumping down a tracked-out piste. The whole place is at around 15 degrees in angle, there's nothing to slide even it wanted to.
