lindahl your attitude is far too good for this thread.

We need a good westerly flow that drops 52 inches in town like last december. BC does well in all flows which is why it is almost always fresh. Snowing on and off here all day, moderate this morning, hopefully it piled up a bit....

    Drive slow, homie.

FWIW, as of today, statewide snowpack (in terms of snow water equivalent) is 98% of the 30 year average.

So, am I reading the weather forecast correctly that Wolf Creek or somewhere else south is the place to be for powder this weekend??

It's funny, last year was sooo good that I almost forgot about lame split flows

Here is a jet stream animation that should relieve the pain-
It shows the split-flow but seems to indicate some fat wet clouds should move east at the right latitude.

not much going on....should hit 50 or perhaps mid 50s at 8k on Thurs. Flow is better for Friday, maybe 3-6" or a tad higher. Monday system looks more east of the divide.

I hope you're right, the newest weather models don't look encouraging at all. Could be pretty freakin dry for awhile.

Yep, sure looks like it. Time to put the boards up and dig the fishing gear back out.

My wife woke me up when she arrived home from work last night, and told me this morning the only thing that came out of my mouth when she came home was, "we need more snow, badly".

Apparently this reality is also haunting my dreams. Would protesting at Occupy Denver demanding more snow be helpful?

I'm actually thinking about going for a run today. What the fuck......
Do I detect a lot of anger flowing around this place? Kind of like a pubescent volatility, some angst, a lot of I'm-sixteen-and-angry-at-my-father syndrome?

    fuck that noise.

    gmen.

Washington is looking good for now, but massive ridge will dry them out next week. It's possible this ridge could be skinny enough to allow the storm track to skirt the northern mountains of Colorado. We'll see. I'm not concerned at all. I think we should all do some Tebowing today and think positive.

Wow, a 28 degree low at 12000' last night! At least it's not -28 with no snow. I'll be skinning in a t-shirt today, I can handle this.

BTW, it's going to snow Dec. 4-8, because I will be out of town.

Marshal and I toured up Butler today anticipating nothing but a nice long walk in the woods. Rather, we found decently chalky turns on a solid base up in the hour glass. Still thin below. Goes without saying we could use some snow, but conditions surprisingly good today.
